If you don't live on Teesside, who is your local team and do you go and watch them?

Another for Dulwich Hamlet. Although it was previously West Didsbury and Chorlton. I was one one of the insufferable hipsters singing about pubs to the tune of Allez Allez Allez!

I lived in Darlington for 10 years but couldn't bring myself to go to Feethams. It would have felt like I was being unfaithful. This thread is fascinating but begs the inevitable question, how did you all end up where you are

Nearest club is Worksop Town - never been. Next nearest is Chesterfield - not seen them since we best them at Hillsborough.

Watch plenty of local football in Northland, NZ, but my second team is Wellington Phoenix, who play in the Australian A-League. Sadly the Nix have been based n Oz for the past two seasons due to Covid and I was away for their only two games back in NZ this season.
I've seen em about 12 times (Wellington is and about 800 miles from where I live) ad usually make a weekend of it when I do go.
Nix got into A-League playoffs this season but got knocked out in the first round. They've done pretty well despite not having many games at home due to being based in Oz.

Altrincham for me. Hoping Duncan Watmore comes back to finish his career here. Saw him play a few times before he got his big move to Sunderland.

Kings Lynn Town.

In over 30 years living here I have been once v Hastings about 25 years ago. 0-0. Never been back.
Language was appalling, and that was the players!

Exeter, not been for 19 years,. I realised quite early that I was starting to feel disappointed when they lost, so decided that having one team that was ***** more often than not was enough.
Got yourself down to the rugby on Saturday. You're in for a treat.

If only because the outgoing premiership champions are in town

I have seen the chiefs a couple of times, their 1st European home fixture years ago and something else which I can't remember. They are on their way back down now, its been obvious for a while they have been living on reputation and struggling to get wins, other teams have taken over them and probably a few more will before they stop the slide.

As well as the 'Nix, although never seen them play yet, I'd have to go for Nelson Suburbs, play in the Mainland team. Not a bad side tbh.

Mine used to be Fire (and I’m angry at the change of their kit and badge btw) and now it’s Inter Miami. The (abysmal lack of) quality of this Miami team makes me wish it was still Chicago Fire!
At least the new new badge is better than the old new badge. I do miss the fake Boro red with white chestband though.

Why do so many Boro fans live near Dulwich Hamlet? Do they serve parmos or something???
Yes, I noticed it was more than I thought.

They have a chant which goes "Tuscany, Tuscany, we're the famous Dulwich Hamlet and we look like Tuscany." Why this chant? Many, many years ago, Hamlet wanted to develop their ground. It went to a planning committee, and one of the objections stated that the stadium would ruin their view of Dulwich, which reminded the objector of Tuscany!

Let the U23s play them in a friendly. They're sure of a good Boro support!
