Isaiah Jones appreciation thread

I'd say the best 'breakthrough' player since Downing.
Special mention for Jamie Pollock who IIRC got booked on his debut at 17 yrs old and Cattermole who got MOTM on his debut away at Newcastle when he was 17.
I know Jones is 22 but his fearlessness is unreal.
We all kind of want our young players to do what he does - but very very few achieve it. This lad is special.

The worry is the envious eyes he will be attracting. DO NOT want him to leave but you're talking £15m surely

I’m just glad Warnock wasn’t around long enough to coach the enthusiasm out of him and turn him into a depressed fullback.
Also Husband should have been off for the elbow.
What a prat !
You mean Warnock the guy that recognised Jones had ability and put him in the first team 😡

How you lot can try and blame Warnock on a night like tonight is simply pathetic....
The bloke that discovered Isaiah Jones.
Shame on you 😡😡😡
Wasn’t blaming Warnock at all, just pointing out he dropped him. I have it on good authority from ex players who’ve played under him that he has favourites and a lot more that I wouldn’t dream of posting on here.

I'm sure every manager has favourites and dropping players when they aren't performing is part of the job, I don't see your point tbh...other than a vieled attempt to discredit Warnock...

Warnock has been the catalyst with where we are right now. I don’t honestly think that too many of the players will have any negative thoughts on him, nor should they. Warnock cleaned ship and reversed all negativity within the club, and revamped the the first 11 with some key acquisitions. Now CW is taking the new manager bounce to another level— long may it continue!

I mentioned a while back about the lack of partnerships on the field, but I think we've got a few good ones developing, none moreso than Crooks and Jones. Both have been instrumental in our pressing and attacking play for weeks now. Just more signs that make me as confident as I was when Aitor took over. Team pattern and principles, the building blocks of partnerships then finally the construction of a unit. If we can get to the level of Aitors promotion winning side with the added attacking intent of Wilders philosophy then we'll be happy Boro bunnies again.

I have really enjoyed watching him play this season and am looking forward to him developing his game to release his full potential.

He needs to up his level of final ball and decision making in the final third, if he is to avoid falling into the Lewis wing trap of being a crowd pleaser but ultimately not delivering consistently enough.

Exciting times for the young lad that’s for sure.
