A sensible approachCouple of updates on the Sweden position (I was there all last week)...
Mask wearing is not commonplace, at all. Could count on one hand the amount of people wearing masks over the course of my trip and I hazard a guess that most of those were visitors.
Testing is also very different in Sweden and nowhere near as widespread as here. It's only in the last month that test volumes have increased, almost in line with the increase in cases. I definitely think there's an argument to say that a significant number of Swedes have probably had the virus without realising.
So you've made your point, and obviously I'm opposed to it. So lets delve further, why don't you tell me why you think this government has enacted this billThe devastation seen in care homes at the beginning had nothing to do with care workers. That was government and NHS management sending covid positive patients back into care homes.
Ah so these patients didn't move through communal areas to their rooms they were out through windows into their rooms. They didn't let the patients that had returned from hospital wonder around......but they did have care workers moving from room to room passing the virus on, it's how transmission works!
many of them were bed ridden when they returnedAh so these patients didn't move through communal areas to their rooms they were out through windows into their rooms.
Oh I absolutely agree it was a monumental **** upThe monumental **** up of putting covid positive patients back into facilities
Indeed they were so you wouldn't get them through a window. They have to travel through the home to their rooms. This can mean going through communal areas, corridors, elevators etc. Once you put a covid positive person thorough that front door then EVERYBODY in that home is put at risk. It's why we had carers staying at work and sleeping at work to prevent any outside interactions. It's why deliveries were left in secure courtyards out the back of homes and left for two days before they were brought into the home.many of them were bed ridden when they returned
Oh I absolutely agree it was a monumental **** up
How that make your assertions on the success of Swedens strategy be less wrong?Could you add the UK to that graph
Interesting to get some information first hand, cheers. I am surprised at the lack of masks to be honest.Couple of updates on the Sweden position (I was there all last week)...

too many beards for masks to work anywayInteresting to get some information first hand, cheers. I am surprised at the lack of masks to be honest.
I think I might know the answer to this Mart. I think it's because it's all Johnson has going for him. It seems like deflection from him to be honest. So you've made your point, and obviously I'm opposed to it. Deflecting to protect himself of course, ignores the fact that he is weakening his position in his own party by taking this bill forwardI think I might know the answer to this Mart. I think it's because it's all Johnson has going for him. It seems like deflection from him to be honest.
Even with all the revelations of this week, I don’t think anything less of Johnson and this government.
I’ve always despised them.
It is also not representative or comparable to Britain because of many reasons.Couple of updates on the Sweden position (I was there all last week)...

Well if he is seen to do nothing again he's dead. He needs to show he is taking action it is all he has left. Every response is Boosters, vaccine roll out. It is all he has.Deflecting to protect himself of course, ignores the fact that he is weakening his position in his own party by taking this bill forward
It's certainly splitting the party but I am not sure Johnson looks beyond getting to the end of the day, never mind the end of the week.Deflecting to protect himself of course, ignores the fact that he is weakening his position in his own party by taking this bill forward

A sensible approach
10 times the deaths of their nearest neighbor's. By sensible you mean sacrificing the lives of thousands in exchange for not mildly inconveniencing some selfish people.
