AC-12 take on The Met.
Christ, you'd hope so.How embarrassing for the met is that.
The rank and file have to deal with the fallout too. They will have no respect from the public at all. I can understand this but a pc isn't a decision maker. Who would be a police man in the met todayChrist, you'd hope so.
Johnson is a bit of a new phenomenon for the Tories. They're usually about getting elected at all costs, as a party. That's why they can get things done where Labour often can't get their act together. It's certainly splitting the party but I am not sure Johnson looks beyond getting to the end of the day, never mind the end of the week.
All true, unfortunately he is a good campaigner but not much else.Johnson is a bit of a new phenomenon for the Tories. They're usually about getting elected at all costs, as a party. That's why they can get things done where Labour often can't get their act together.
Johnson is different. He wants to be King of the world; he doesn't care what happens after he's gone. If they're unelectable after him, he doesn't care.
However he can hang on in his position, he'll do anything. If people die that's fine; if they lose their jobs, then tough.
He doesn't have any ideology or principles so he can change position any time he likes.

He will deal with that (or try to) when he has to. As said previously he's just interested in getting to the end of each day. This is all true - but I imagine he might care about his reputation and legacy on leaving office.
He wants to be Churchill and Churchill did a brilliant job of burnishing his own reputation in and out of office. So Johnson will likely think he can do that regardless of what happens.
The big difference is that when faced with a true moment of national peril - not a manufactured one like Brexit - he absolutely shat the bed and did a terrible job. Not very Churchillian.
Sadly they don't care, while Johnson is in power they are bulletproof. They also believe they can act in the favour of a political master without fear of prosecution, that impression needs to be burst. How embarrassing for the met is that.
I don't disagree. TGLP are pursuing the met through the courts now on their decision not to investigate.Sadly they don't care, while Johnson is in power they are bulletproof. What we need is a declaration by other parties that there will be a full investigation of this once the Tories are dislodged, even if it takes 10 years for that to happen. There is no statute of limitation on corruption and any officer seen to cover up is involved in miscarriage of justice and will risk being sacked and having pension removed as well as jail time. That goes from a beat bobby right up to the head of the Met.
Then see who covers up.
I said this back in December as I knew he had broken the rules but we needed that final piece of the jigsaw. Not unless a photo emerges of Bertie himself at the party or a party. Then it gets interesting
The state of that guys comments....thick as minceIs this the most most embarrassing example of our town! Johnson is a good guy apparently it’s the rest of us that have got it wrong,
