Josh Coburn...

Class from the lad today, bullied their defenders, held it up well, won pretty much every header, laid the ball off well, and won the penna.

If we get enough pace around him we'll win more than we lose.

He’s deffo packed on a bit of muscle and would have benefited from the physicality of League 1. You just can’t replicate that in the under 23s.

Excellent today. But let's see if he is good enough down the line. Does not look to me to have too many goals at this level in him but his hold up play was superb.
Would have liked to see Lath come on to play with him when Crooked went off.
Thought Crookes link up with Jones today was good as well.

The crooks and Jones link up was our main source of chances under Wilder. Would be good if they could recreate that

Man of the match, held the ball up excellently, bringing others into play, a very mature performance from our young striker.
Jones was a very close 2nd. good to finally have the monkey off our backs.
Enjoyed my two & half hour drive back home..

Fabulous performance.
MOTM for me.
Hope we are keeping an eye on Collins at Bristol Rovers who formed a very good partnership with him.

Coburn was brilliant. Terrorised their centre halves especially second half. He’s a unit and will only get stronger.

Like others have said. Get more pace around him. His hold up play and distribution was class.

Don’t blame him for taking the shot on when he was in. That’s what I want from my strikers. The square ball wasn’t 100% on but later in the game the pass for McGree was delicious. Just a shame he rattled the post.

Coburn has the potential to save us millions.

Really like Josh. I like Crooks too, but I don't think they're really a good combination.

I'd like to see McGree Forss and Jones line up behind Josh.

Maybe not as potent as what we had last year, but good enough to be upwardly mobile.

Yeah his hold up play was very good… the ball “stuck to him” more than anyone we’ve had since a certain gent left for Amsterdam.

Might be more suited to a deeper role with Latte ahead of him running in behind
I think the same. He reminded me of Chuba when he played number 9. It never worked as he could not be found in the box and was outnumbered. Put him deeper at number 10. He can hold the ball up, use his strength and link up play like Chuba used to do. He can then get in the box later in the attacking move with space to score. This would also allow Lathe to play the Archer role and use his pace to get in behind their defence and pick up Coburn’s flick ons. 👍
