Pretty obvious him and Warnock didn’t get on. Is Wilder going to be any different? I really hope they can forge a formidable relationship. This appointment was always going to be huge, and despite me not currently “feeling it” I will 100% get behind Wilder and hope that he can give us a lift.

I'm not sure about Wilder, bit ambivalent tbh, but as with all managers I'll also back them 100%. I honestly believe that we have a very good squad, who for whatever reason are inconsistent and underperforming. New manager will hopefully get the best out of them.

"Allegedly the main reason for Wilder's departure from his boyhood club was due to his disagreements over the way the club is run. It is believed Sheffiled United may have wanted to bring in a director of football which Wilder was against as he wanted to have full control of transfers. On one hand you can argue that this is fair enough, after all the squads Wilder has developed across his career has led to 4 promotions, however in recent times his recruitment has been undoubtedly poor."

🤷‍♂️

We’re bound to get him then!

I've heard him and Bauser were at loggerheads the whole of his stint here.

Bauser is meant to be power crazy.

Wilder is a bit fiesty but he's also quite progressive so I'd imagine there's a fair chance of it working

I'm pretty sure Wilder 'walked' due to the board signing players he didn't want. It sounds like 'it's a thing' at Boro 😕

Is it not likely that Wilder is coming here BECAUSE of Scott?

I guess a director of football gets some say in the appointment as, otherwise, what's the point of him? And Wilder knows the set up he's walking into, so must be happy with it.

I would hope that KS appointment by Gibson is an attempt to deal with the recruitment issues that have plagued the club for years. As Head of football you would think he would be taking over control of such things from Bauser.
