I’m sure there are people who aren’t footballers that get up to this sort of stuff. Plays for Manchester City.. not that bothered what he gets up to in his private life tbh.. is it newsworthy? He came across as a bit thick.. bit of arrested development perhaps?

A lot of sportsmen in highly lucrative sports like football, baseball, gridiron, F1, etc. live their lives in a strange bubble where as a "valuable asset" they are pampered and indulged. As they are often "hero worshiped" by us mere mortals it is little wonder that they may behave like spoilt brats. It's probably more surprising when they don't.

Mr. Walker needs to grow up.

I mean.. some guys can do the same thing on a paper round.
 
A lot of footballers are effectively paused in their emotional development when the academy system consumes their weekends, downtime, diet and kills a social life. All the mistakes and boredom killing stupidity which we got rid of as teenagers comes in these people's twenties, with millions of pounds to help them be as daft as they want to be. It is the modern version of those Victorian and Georgian bounders who are left to entertain themselves until the family title falls to them.

It's not that footballers choose to be 'abnormal,' but for those in an elite performance system since the onset of puberty, it's a wonder that many of them do turn out normal at all and testament to families who keep them grounded.

Actually, us lot talking about it (am guilty now) and people clicking on the story makes rags like the S*n more likely to print such stuff under the guise of news, which it isn’t. We are all complicit in this circus, it isn’t as if Walker has set himself up as some moral paragon. He’s a good footballer and gets paid lots for that and nothing more!

I wonder how many posters on here have children to different women, it is very common and anyone who works/worked in a school will tell you that. I had three students in my behaviour group, all in the same school year that had different mums and the same dad.

Of course that's common but getting another woman pregnant twice whilst still with the mother of his other kids?
