Latte Lath

Don’t get me wrong Im pleased to see him back but to read some of the comments on him you’d think we were getting mo salah back.

He’s a good addition yes but let’s be honest he’s been rank average at best and he isn’t going to turn our season around we needed a striker and we still do latte lath returning doesn’t change that.

His minutes per goal is good, but he's more in the 'unpredictable wildcard' category than a solid addition we can build around (still for me anyway).

I'd really liked to have seen him have a decent run in the side playing off a more physically imposing / workhorse type player.

But Carrick is probably never going to do that.

Come on Jedi, be a little more critical!

has a really good goals per minutes.. at one point he was looking at 17-18 in all comps..
if he had a proper run of games i think we'd see him improve but it hasnt really happened yet

Like him and Josh together, "physical workhorse" our results are better when Josh plays or it definitely feels that way, he just gives us a presence!

He's had 6 continuous years of being loaned out. I can't imagine Atlanta were making money off those loans but they did decide obv to keep extending his contract so they must have liked something.
He finished last season exceptionally well and started pre-season for Atl very well with 4 goals before we nipped in ..but he had no pre-season with us and was thrown in to the mix 4 days after we bought him. new country , new style of play , first time he starts playing for the club that owns his registration.
the 2 injuries came at the worst time for him as contributed well in our EFL cup games and scored 2 at Leeds and 1 vs Hull in six league starts before being injured. Hope he finishes this season showing us what he can be about.

Pace makes him a threat. Although not sure I'd be overly excited as the 'answer' if he didn't have that pace.

I think the fact he's rapid and unpredictable makes him a threat. Yet the end product isn't amazing. How many times has his pace put him through 1 on 1 with season and he's missed? Plenty. Then again if he was clinical we wouldn't have him.

He's not just a random punt (like Silvera) . He cost a few quid. So shouldn't be in the 'project' bracket. I've read anywhere between 3mil - 5mil with add ons.

That said any actual CF is an improvement. I'm not sure him or Coburn are the answer. Yet I'd love to see both fit and competing up top.

I think he's got a lot more about him than most of our squad, genuine pace for example, but he's not a replacement for Chuba. Rogers was the nearest we had to Chuba in that he could link play.

Definitely not the answer - he’s better as an impact player coming off the bench when teams are firing a bit imo. Don’t think he’d ever be a prolific enough goal scorer to warrant being first choice centre forward for us. He wasn’t cheap either so it’s another relatively expensive punt that hasn’t really worked for us.

Is he as good as Duncan Watmore? He was better coming off the bench was never the same player when he started for us, although he has hardly pulled up many trees at Millwall has he?

Similar to when Fuchs went there after a good spell with us

He played like a man possessed when he came on yesterday, which then led to him making several fouls.

Did manage to get in behind once but it was too tight of an angle for him to get a shot off.

He does need to work on improving his first touch and his finishing when one on one with the keeper, but I'm quietly confident he's going to become an important player for us.
