Lee Cattermole

Sorry for any confusion. I like to see the history ie. he’s been coaching the u15/16s since summer. Maybe I could start new threads and just quote the old thread
Nothing wrong with that Cress, i do similar, some posters may not have seen your original post

Does this mean photos of him are being issued to bars and clubs on Teesside, so he doesn't have to ask if they know who he is?

He was outstanding against Roma in the home leg! Absolutely ran the midfield that night, really did think we had a home grown Gerrard in the making. Shame Southgate bombed him out, we might have had a chance of staying up.

looks like he is going well and learning fast - may be the next in the manager's chair.

if he was called Leeandro Ciattarmolio and was from Naples, we would have no concerns over appointing him and calling him a 'young ambitious hungry tactically aware manager with passion and ideas'....

bang on!

Also I would hazard a guess if it was leadbitter, another ex gritty midfielder who is coaching in the academy, who was being touted the reception would be rather warmer.

I think people are still judging him based on the daft stuff he did in the pubs around stockton when he came into the first team. Which is ridiculous as I imagine we have all been wanchors in drink at that age!

If we were appointing Leeandro Ciattarmolio as our next manager at the age of 34, after he'd coached Middlesbrough U18s for 6 months, with no other coaching experience, I'd be just as concerned.

I don't want Leo Percovich from Montevideo as our manager, and he is vastly more experienced compared to Cattermole.

I’m not sure fans would be comfortable with any appointment, regardless of name or nationality, if their only experience was a few months coaching teenagers.

We are in serious trouble and an inexperienced coach is much riskier when teetering above league one.

It’s just like the Woodgate/Warnock situation all over again. We need an experienced, level headed coach to go back to basics and play to the squads strengths rather than some ideal that the players can’t adapt to.
