Lewis O’Brien

Sloppy on the ball at times but his energy is ridiculous. I can't remember the last time we had that kind of speed and energy in the midfield.

Hopefully the sloppiness is just rust from hardly having played this season.
Agree he was sloppy, giving the ball away a lot of times, but far play to him he keeps on trying, and is growing into the game...

Barlaser is playing well in midfield, he is a neat tidy player, against the best team in the Championship, we are not missing Howson or Hackney....

But some on here will blame him for something......

Encouraging performance from him.

I didn't actually think he was poor vs Bristol City, just felt he played too cautiously but that was probably down to a lack of fitness.

No one is blaming him for anything today. He only gets the blame when he plays poorly. Like he did against Bristol city.

A Forest supporting mate of mine said we’d signed a really good player. He looked it first half.

Barlaser is frustrating because on the ball with time he is one of if not the passer of the ball at the club. The amount of balls he plays through the lines to cut out opposition players is really impressive, he doesn't always play the easy pass, he plays us forward.

Then he will do the ridiculous and cost you a goal.

I’ve not seen the game but started reading the match day thread and he was getting slated by a number of posters in the first 20 mins.

Yes some unkind and uncalled for comments early on in the match day thread described him as "horrific" - an example of a man who with a role he is familiar with saw him impose his undoubted ability on the game.

He did give the ball away 3 times which were his only touch’s in the first 20 minutes. He then won a foul and Engel took quick free kick and almost played Ayling in.
He then did very well to make first goal for Azaz. Decent after that but nothing special.Would certainly need to improve on performances so far to warrant a purchase.
I.M.O of course

If Hackney is off in the summer, we should definitly spend a chunk of the money to bring him in permanently, weve bee crying out for that kind of midfield energy for a good few years.

Wonder what sort of fee Forest would want? They clearly want rid of him. £3-4m?
Sure I saw something more in the £8 million to £10 million range last summer. But he's been crocked and hardly ripped the league up since then.

They have FFP issues I believe?

The fee may well depend on how desperate they are for books balancing cash, to avoid slipping the wrong side of the arbitrary line and getting sanctioned.
