Thats mad because Toby Carverys are my idea of hell! That's literally 2 minutes drive from my house.
Incidentally, did you know that M&C is part of the same chain as Toby Carverys?
We definitely dont do it as much as we used to, we would do 4/5 times a month now its 1/2 times. For anything above average you're looking at £35-£40 for two adults with a drink or two each.Eating out has become really expensive. Not sure if that’s or if having 2 children that means I’m more careful about eating out now
Are you driving?Lion Inn at Kirkbymoorside.
Massive portions although a bit pricey. Some of the best kept real ales in North Yorkshire including the best pint of Old Peculier you'll ever have. Kid friendly and dogs allowed in the bar area too.
Wow where do you go MacDonald's ?We definitely dont do it as much as we used to, we would do 4/5 times a month now its 1/2 times. For anything above average you're looking at £35-£40 for two adults with a drink or two each.
I think you'll find that where you'd find that is actually in the tap room at the breweryome of the best kept real ales in North Yorkshire including the best pint of Old Peculier you'll ever have

What about muse in yarm no report for thereUpdate:
The Vane Arms, Thorpe Thewles was very very good and the staff where fantastic, 8/10. A young girl served us maybe 19/20, very attentive, offered us a plate for the little one and all round nice girl. The training they receive in there must be top notch so fair play. Often its the service what ruins a good place.
Scruffy Duck, Norton - 2/10. I admit this is a harsh review considering I didnt actually eat here in the end but we waited nearly 45 minutes for the food to be told it would be another 20 minutes when we asked how long. This was a Monday afternoon with a lot of spare tables and no warning that there would be a wait for food. I am sorry but over an hour to wait for a bar meal is just not good enough. We cancelled ours as we had to be elsewhere and the our friends stayed, they said it was disappointing at best, especially with the wait.
Finzi's artisan pizza, Yarm. 8/10. Amazing Pizzas and fair deals during the day, we got two slices and two cans of pop for £10 (I think) and their pastries are to die for, highly recommended for a snack on a bench along the river.
The next place on our list is Lebaneat in Yarm so will report back!
Happy eating
Ive have only ever had a breakfast there and it was some time ago so felt it unfair to rate it but its on my 'go-to' list so I will update accordinglyWhat about muse in yarm no report for there
If I am ever passing through Steppingly I will make sure to stop at The French Horn! This is of no value as I live in toddington but I took the wife and daughter out for a late lunch today, about 3pm. We tried 5 different places that had stopped serving food and we had given up. We were driving back through Steppingly and there was a pub called the french horn, so we thought we would try it.
The food was delicious, and a varied menu. 3 mains plus drinks 60 quid, so a bargain to boot.
You will not regret it. Super food and, I learned later that that a Michelin chef Jean cluead nuvelle traind the chefsIf I am ever passing through Steppingly I will make sure to stop at The French Horn!
