That didn't work too well when we won at Norwich a couple of weeks before we met them again at WembleyTrue re Luton game but it would be great to put down a marker on them ahead of any poss Wembley meeting.
Like our win at Norwich last time around?True re Luton game but it would be great to put down a marker on them ahead of any poss Wembley meeting.
apart from the goalAnother big thing is avoiding injuries going into the playoffs. Ramsey off injured last night, hope that he isn't out for too long. No McGree in the squad last night, hope that's nothing serious either. We also need Fry back ASAP, however Paddy was good last night
Yeah I agree, bar that he played well. We just hope that Fry is back in the side sooner rather than laterapart from the goal
Bang on. I'm sure Carrick will understand that momentum is so important going into the play offs. Five subs will suit us and help us keep players fresh.Like our win at Norwich last time around?
It's a real difficult balance for those last few games of keeping momentum vs not taking any daft risks. We got it wrong resting everyone before the UEFA Cup final for a few games and we looked a bit rusty.
Luton are a good side, but go and look at the results of late (since the new manager came in) against the better teams in the championship; they are average set of results which I think tells you over two games they are there for the taking. Over one game at Wembley, I’d feel confident because of the big pitch and not having to go to their tin pot ground and playLuton are a worry for the play-offs I think, just such a solid and resilient side. At our best we'll beat them but if we are to play them we'll need to be on top form.
I agree with that mostly but yesterday proved they perform as well away from Kenilworth Rd. That was their 11th away win so I wouldn't say they are where they are because of a small intimidating ramshackle ground.Luton are a good side, but go and look at the results of late (since the new manager came in) against the better teams in the championship; they are average set of results which I think tells you over two games they are there for the taking.
