Errrrrgh. Bloody good goalies are hard to find, as we've found out in recent seasons... Are they? If I think across the last twenty years of Sunderland, either we've been very lucky or they are one of the easiest positions to find. Compared to - goalscorers, mobile defensive midfielders...

How do you think we'd do? I'm currently ridiculously (and almost certainly naively) positive about how good we are, and think they'd hold their own. Is there anywhere in particular we'd need to strengthen?

Sunderland got 19 in 2002/03 (record in PL at the time)
They then broke their own record in 2005/06 with 15 points.
Derby broke that record in 2007/08 with 11 points.

Boro have played one less season in the Premiership than Sunderland but we have won more games and earned more points.
