Mackem Delusion

Not delusional, as proven a month ago not too much difference between the teams imho but you lot blinkered by the coming of Carrick 😊

Reality is since Carrick arrived on Teesside you are not really any closer to Sheff Utd and further behind Burnley points wise, play offs at best for both

If they had Simms and Stewart, i'd be worried but without them i cant see them keeping up much of a serious charge for us, the play offs maybe because its so open and we are the only team in serious form the rest all seen to drop points here and there

If Sunderland win their game in hand they're 3 points behind us. If Sheff Utd win their game in hand they're 10 points ahead.

We've had threads about finishing in the top two, so which sets of fans are the moist delusional?

Both teams are doing well and it looks it's going to be close. Sunderland have a tough run coming up with 4 difficult games in a row from the middle of next month. It will be interesting to see how they get on.

CtC - how dare you post a balanced and sensible view :ROFLMAO:

Surely if we are no better under Carrick, the points difference between us and the two sides you mentioned would have increased significantly as there have been many more matches.

Form guides would attest to this. Hoolio exhibits the usual prejudice of his kin.

The transformation over Boro under Carrick has been phenomenal, the league table will back this, the form table backs this and our style of play and goals scored reinforces this.

If we had started the season under Carrick and achieved similar form, we'd be in a superb position.

There's a great account on Twitter which highlights the delusion of some of the mackem fanbase, particularly those on RTG.

Newcastle could be playing in a Champions League final, be 8 nil up against Barcelona after taking the whole population of the City to the game, and some of the Mackem trolls on RTG will be arguing that Sunderland would have taken more, and would be winning 9 nil etc.

It's quite entertaining, although we've got our own set of village idiots too of course.

I didn’t say you were no better under Carrick quite clearly you are my point is the top two have matched your points return since he took over in October

Goal’s don’t seem to be the issue a small squad lacking experience is more of a worry

So what you're saying is that in terms of performances and getting results, he's taken us from the level of Huddersfield to the level of Burnley and the Blades? That's quite a side tbh.

Since Carrick came in, we've taken 37 points.

In that time, no other team has amassed more points in the division.

Just a tip, but you're better off getting your facts right before spouting a load of complete tosh

This is part of my argument above, under carrick we are the best team in the division.
