Man u or Villa away

My six year old is absolutely buzzing at the prospect of ot being Man U but we'll be trying to get tickets for either tie as Villa is only 90 minutes away.

I think it's a great tie and having been at OT when we beat them on pens, would be great to give my lad some bragging rights against his United supporting mates from the South East 🙄

1st visit to Man U v Boro was the Nobby Stiles return ... my late Dad took me ...Feb.1972 ... I was 14 at the time On a special football train full of Boro ... The Boro Chants at the station was what I remember the most ... Went to Colin Bells restaraunt for food before the match ( my Dad knew Colins Dad both Wingate guys).... Remember the walk to Old Trafford from the station ... seemed like a lifetime , prob 1.30 hours , 0-0 53,000 ... they had Charlton Best Law ... we had Boam, Maddren and Hickton....got the train back after the match that left from Old Trafford.. slept all the way home

We're the form team. Neither Utd nor Villa will be over the moon with the draw. Proper banana skin for both of them. Will they put their first team out? Nothing to lose for us.
Was just reading one of the Brummie papers they said it was a good draw for them and an easy way to the 5th Rd, that's if they can beat Man Utd.
I rather play Villa than Man Utd at least there feels there is something interesting playing them not just the usual boring drivel which will be pushed our way if we get MUFC and CR

Will we get 8k tickets at either of these grounds?

Is the away side still entitled to 20% of the capacity for FAC games, if they want them?

Villa turned apparently turned down allocations of 9,000 and 6,000 tickets and only requested 3,000 tickets.

Not sure why, presumably because they'd have to purchase them in advance and were worried about shifting them for a Monday night when the game is on TV.

Would hope we would take at least 6,000 tickets from them.

Thought the way Man Utd have been playing, I wouldn't be so confident on them getting passed Villa.

Man city have got home draw aswell so they won’t both be saturday
Last time we played them in the league cup win both City and Utd were playing at home on the same night. Doesn't happen often but it does happen.

I think it'd be a good time to play Utd. Confidence is flying in Wilder's side and Utd ... well, the less said the better. They're a mess. Out of all ties available I was kinda hoping we'd draw them.

We'd definitely give them a game, but can just see that lanky chunt heading in a last-minute winner ET, though :ROFLMAO:

It's a brilliant draw either way for me, Gerrard's doing brilliantly in PL. Two great historic grounds fit for the competition. I think I'd prefer the Villa game, but how beautiful would it be to see us knock Utd out at OT ...

Is like old times if it is Man U we have met each so many times in FA Cup as Erimus will tell us.
But there will be a generation of Boro fans that have not seen us play st Old Trafford.
Great test for the players and the club.
Exciting prospect.
If it is Villa might we fancy our chances of a shock
Not that we should rule ourselves out v Man Utd.
United are a shambles and ragnick hasn’t worked so they will be the easier game
Villa will be tougher as gerrard has them playing well
Hope it’s Manure

The rules are simple. The away team is entitled to receive up to 15% of the capacity at the stadium they are visiting.
Old Trafford capacity this season is 73,000, so we are entitled to request 10,950 tickets for this match.

Villa Park capacity is 42,749, so we would be entitled to 6,412 there.

These are competition rules.

The nonsense above around Villa being given 3,000 tickets at OT is simply because that is what they have requested. Given it is televised on a monday night they clearly felt they wouldnt shift more.

Boro have done this before in the past and not nearly requested full allocations.
