I remember his first couple of games for us, he played very well. If its nerve damage that can be quite serious as I can understand after damaging a disk in my back and still have no feeling in my foot after a couple of years. Hope he gets better soon.

He had a couple of decent games then a couple of poor ones - maybe he was struggling with his back?
All updates from Carrick suggest he's not near to a return

I can't say how I know this but Matt had surgery on his back about 6-8 weeks ago and is undergoing intensive physio etc to be back for pre season training and playing next season. Also going to Sheffield for some reason for swimming therapy to strengthen his core back up.
God only knows why the club don't just announce this to keep supporters updated and nip any rumours in the bud. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

Apparently so mate, operation was a success and he is targeting a full pre season and bring back for the start of next season.
