A quick Google suggests he couldn't speak the lingo and struggled to learn it. Also injured for most of his spell.
Don't have to worry about the language. We have Steffen to translate

Here's a thought. Scott and Wilder have sat down, and looked at players who will fit the system Wilder is trying to implement. So rather than spaffing the Spence money on strikers because they scored a few goals at a previous club - in totally different systems - they are looking for a specific type of player, for the right fee.
Players with low risk high reward potential. Players who will hopefully do enough get us out of the Championship without blowing all the Spence/Tav money.
Forss and Hoppe hopefully will be these type of players.

I thought I'd have a poke around for some highly rated US players that might be due a move due to Kieran Scott's clear link with German coached American players, a few names cropped up and rather awkwardly I stumbled on a few that have opted for Rangers.
a defensive midfielder names James Sands in particular.. could that mean that John Lundstram might be headed out the door? obviously well known to Wilder and was unsettled there at one point..
my eyes wander a bit further down to be reminded of one of our supposed targets Ben Davies (left sided centre back) then I start thinking maybe a move for long linked with Jack Simpson might be on the cards..
give it a bit of NUMBERWANG and you see John Lundstram formerly number 7 at Sheffield United, Jack Simpson with a prefered number 4 shirt changed out last season (it's the details right!) and we start seeing a picture..

We can’t be expecting to make these kind of signings and hope to make a serious challenge - he may be good back up but not as a first choice forward signing surely

I can't see Ben Gibson coming back tbh.. pretty high fee not so long ago and will totally kill it for Norwich.
