Micah Richards - what does he know?

For some unfathomable reason Micah Richards is now a main pundit for Sky, Match of the Day, and on 5Live. He's either got a fantastic agent or some very unsavoury photos of the producers.

Kelly Dalgleish asked him the other day whether the premier league should consider alternative arrangements if covid-19 cases continued to postpone matches and honestly it was like listening to a dog try to explain long division.

I'm all for kicking out all the dinosaurs who last played the game more than 20 years ago and are now just bitter and demanding of young players who have far more ability and will achieve more than they ever did (looking at you Chris Sutton and Andy Townsend), but has someone decided that what the people want is more bantz?

To be fair he probably expects to comment on football matters such as tactics, refereeing decisions etc rather than Covid policy

We've had the likes of Jamie Redknapp on TV for years, why point the finger at Micah Richards?

He's probably suffering from what happens to a number of presenters/pundits. People like their work so they get more gigs, they then turn up on almost every channel and then some people get sick of seeing them and complain about it on social media.

I don't think he's too bad to be honest but I wish he'd get an outfit that fits him. Every shirt looks to be about 2 sizes too small for him. I was worried about Chappers losing an eye from a stray button popping off the other week.

He knows quite a bit more than us I'd imagine.

Also not really sure you can achieve Chris Sutton and Andy Townsend of not achieving much? They both won major honours and played at the highest level for club and internationally.

He is not great but many others also unfortunately. As I have said previously about Maddo I want "expert" analysis not a plethora of football clichés. Explain to us what is happening from a tactics perspective not that he is a good lad etc

Surely his qualifications (used to be good at football) outweigh hers (dad used to be good at football)?

I like him, hes better than a lot of the others.

Shearer just states the blindingly obvious every week and with the added charisma of syphilis.

Some people like some people others like other people. Personally I can't stand Tim Cahill who has a voice duller than the priest with the very dull voice from father Ted. If you're looking for some great epifany about football forget it. It's 22 blokes kicking a ball around. There's not much more to be said on the matter.
