MICHAEL HOLDING DECIDES TO CALL IT A DAY

Sad day. Always loved listening to his commentary. Had a lot to say, and rightly so too, about racism in cricket.

He's been my favourite on the Sky Sports coverage for years. He's deserves to take it easy now I suppose.

Oh what a shame. I didn't know this until now😕

I hope he packed in and not 'pushed'. The way sky are going with 'refreshing' things (usually for the worst).

I do love listing to the cricket commentary and analysis. It's not like football where you just think 'shut up'.

I really enjoyed listing to Dinesh Karthik this summer. A decent addition.

Really sad! Watched him as a kid in probably the greatest Test team ever (Sorry Australia) and listened to his commentary ever since. His insight will be sorely missed.

That is a shame. Oozes coolness and an interesting listen. Morgan Freeman-esque soothing tones.

He will be a miss.

Loved listening to his commentaries.

He had a voice like warm molasses, so easy on the ear.

One of the greats on the pitch too, with that gracefully athletic run up ending with venomous pace.

His bowling against Tony "I intend to make them grovel" Grieg was, understandably, particularly hostile.

He'll be a huge miss.

Its funny good cricket commentators like holding really enhance the game of cricket. The same cant be said for football, they dont really bring any insight, or enjoyment. Having said that watching some of the big match revisited i had forgotten what a really brilliant commentator Brian Moore was.
