Morgan Rogers

I disagree hes scored a couple of goals but showed hes another one who goes missing when he starts and needs to do more out of possession.

Great goal tho. I wouldn't judge anyone on today really for the starting 11.
Think we best just agree to disagree. He hasn’t started for ages in the league. The point I’m making is he’s impacting games from the bench with either assists or goals and scored a Worldy tonight and in my eyes put in a fantastic performance. Whether that’s enough for a league start Saturday remains to be seen…

Whoa slow down mad lads

He scored a superb goal had 2 moments of great trickery in the box.

Tough game he did ok and brilliant in moments still needs time. Same for silvera.

Apart from his superb goal which changed the game and winning the penalty that won us the game and working his socks off for 90 minutes what did he do?
”did ok”🙄
Was pretty much our only bright spark against Stoke too.
Scored the winner against Birmingham.
Excellent assist for Jones against Sunderland.
I‘m not saying he should definitely start the next game or that he’s the messiah but some fans are very quick to criticise and right players off, but very reluctant to give deserved praise.

👏. Been excellent in every cup game too

Who has?

I'm not his biggest fan but him and crooks are behind the reason we dominate teams
I don’t think we have one main outlet at the minute, it’s spread out across the front four.

I thought he was poor against Stoke (admittedly most of the team were) and poor tonight. Too many misplaced passes and standing still on the ball only to lose it, the attack seemed to breakdown when it got to him tonight.

I rate Jones just think he’s very hot and cold.

Jones was poor tonight. And was against Stoke. Gave possession away far too easily. Could not beat a man.
I really don’t see it with Jones. He’s looks good at times, but gives the ball away far too often and has very little end product. He cannot cross or shoot. Carrick has obviously seen something in him in training to persist with starting him but he’s been very poor the last few games.

Players have dips in form, even the best will have a run of bad games

In all fairness... He didn't win the penalty by a sublime bit of skill , tricking a defender into a last gasp challenge..
Their lad with the awful 90's fringe panicked with the thought of a header 🤣

My opinion ( which isn't worth much ) is he's got it all potentially to be a real real player . Size skill talent..
He's playing more berbatov / sheringham style .. Despite being 21.

However.. he has to use it more championship wise. Almost ' earn the right ' to be an attacking pivot as a 10 .
Got to graft hard at this level to be a stand out ..

I'm really hopeful that next year he could boss this league.

I don’t think anyone is slating him! He had a good game
5 minutes into the game and some "fans" near me were shouting how bad he was! Clueless and funny enough didn't hear much out of them in the second half.

He was fantastic tonight.

He was anonymous first half same as silvera. Second half he made the difference, fantastic is a bit over the top I think. Thats just my opinion

I think he still needs time. The only change for me sat after stoke would be Hackney for barlasser.

Has he reached his ceiling? 👀

Jones can be unplayable but it’s rare, he doesn’t have the consistency or basic footballing brain to make it at the top level but he will tear teams apart at this level 3-4 times a season.

When Isiah Jones is on form he is a great player. Makes things happen both attacking and defensively. Tonight and against Stoke he was nowhere near his best. After Saturday I think the injury to Forss kept him in the team. I would not be shocked if he was replaced for Plymouth and would actually advocate for it. Give the lad a break. Let him come on and attack tired defences

We are a growing team with a lot of young players. Sometimes, individually, they are average then they are good, even in the same game. The squad is getting better though. The two goals in open play tonight were PL quality. Also, as Howson was on the bench, Lath stepped up and cooly put away the penalty. Exciting times. (y)
