Morgan Rogers

Jones was fantastic coming on against Hull last season and did the same against Sheff Wed this season. He's far more effective coming off the bench and having an impact as he gives us something different. Playing as a wing back under wilder has helped him defensively too, but he shouldn't be starting every week in my opinion, when we have the likes of Rogers starting to show that they are deserving of a start.
His stats say otherwise this season so far. Given his performances this season I think he’s allowed the be off for a couple games

Its not just a couple of games though. He really needs to work on his decision making.

Barlaser has fantastic stats for us, but he get all sorts of pelters, as well as booing last night.

Fortunately, the fella picking the team knows a bit about deep lying pivot/linking midfielders. Somewhat more than those booing. What kind of supporter boos their own player anyway? If you don't rate him, fair enough, have a moan on here... but booing? I don't get that at all.

Me neither

He just needs to work on his positioning and anticipation a bit more in that position to make up for his slight lack of pace.

Let’s face it, he couldn’t ask for a better tutor in that regard

Edit - I’m on about Barlaser, obvs

I think Barlasar does exactly what's asked of him every time he's on the pitch.

Howson is probably still a little in front of him in the starting 11 (and a little bit better in my opinion), but Barlasar is a top-6 Championship CM and that's exactly what we need.

The problem a lot of our fans have is they see Hackney doing the fancy turns and making the runs into space and they think that's what every CM should be doing. It looks good therefore he must be good.

Barlasar not being this type of CM and not putting on a show must therefore mean he isn't good enough.

There's a lot of bandwagoning going on in the media with players like Barlasar too.
The Gazette's player rating on Barlasar is "guilty of allowing Ryan Trevitt to get away to score Exeter's opener."...
It was a miss-hit cross that even the attacker didn't expect, and then he scored an absolute worldie that he probably won't score again in his career... to single Barlasar out for that is as bad as the booing.
