Morgan Rogers

He's been decent in flashes for weeks. It's not just because 'it's his level'.

Stunning pass for Jones's goal against Sunderland (just about first touch). Last min winner against brum and put some great balls across the 6 yard box against Stoke.

He's definitely a game changing sub. I guess time will tell whether he can do it starting over 90mins. He has all the attributes in terms of ability and physical stature. Just remember he's only 21. Although played quiet a bit of loan football over the last 2 years.

Liked Rogers from the off. Like Crooks, skilfull for a big unit (6'4"). Great that Dijksteel is back, especially with Smith crocked. RVB isn't near as good as a right back. The best thing for me is how some of the squad options are improving. Silvera seems to be building the confidence he sorely lacked earlier in the season. With Gilbert, Greenwood, McGree, Forss .... there's depth there now.

Has he reached his ceiling? 👀

Jones can be unplayable but it’s rare, he doesn’t have the consistency or basic footballing brain to make it at the top level but he will tear teams apart at this level 3-4 times a season.
Wow, you really can’t wait to pile in on jones. Hardly a peep out of you when he turned the clubs fortunes round for this season

When Isiah Jones is on form he is a great player. Makes things happen both attacking and defensively. Tonight and against Stoke he was nowhere near his best. After Saturday I think the injury to Forss kept him in the team. I would not be shocked if he was replaced for Plymouth and would actually advocate for it. Give the lad a break. Let him come on and attack tired defences
Exactly, the demands of the league can take their toll. Given that he puts the defensive work in it’s no surprise he’s fatigued. A rest wouldn’t be a bad thing based on his last 2 performances

If Jones was more consistent and had a better end ball he wouldn't be at Boro.

We're a Championship club who has a wonderfully inconsistent right midfielder in Jones. Excites and frustrates in equal measures. That's what he does.

Rogers - he's definitely got something where you think he's going to develop to be a top player for us. Still raw, still needs to work on quite a few aspects of his game, still needs to do more out of possession......but that's fine. As long as we see him improving that's good enough for me. Times he will look great, times you won't even notice him being on the pitch. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Looking forward to seeing how all of these players develop 👍

We have the greatest splendiferous recruitment team in the entire world.
Rogers is mint! (y)

Certainly showing some promising signs and has a few goals in him
Silvera will turn out the best of the summer recruitment.
Hes a long way off from that. A better second half after doing nothing first half. My concern with silvera is defensively hes very weak and indisciplined, he needs to work on this side of the game before he can be considered a starter. Hes obviously come from a much weaker league where hes been given a free role.

You are right he is awful defensively.

Jones was fantastic coming on against Hull last season and did the same against Sheff Wed this season. He's far more effective coming off the bench and having an impact as he gives us something different. Playing as a wing back under wilder has helped him defensively too, but he shouldn't be starting every week in my opinion, when we have the likes of Rogers starting to show that they are deserving of a start.

I agree Rogers deserves a start, but not for Jones in my opinion.

The way we play, we stretch play to a wide player (Jones) and then we can move the ball into the middle (Hackney/Howson/Barlasar/Rogers/Crooks/etc...) which creates space.
Saw it happen quite a lot vs. Exeter last night and have seen it throughout the season.

Swapping out a wide player for a more central-minded player removes that option.

I'd like to try out "Jones - Rogers - Greenwood" and then bringing Crooks and Silvera on later in the game.

Jones is the reason we went from losing games to winning them
I've been critical of him, but yes, he was a massive part, came into the side, worked hard stayed on his feet, was positive in possession and frightened teams with his pace. Jones is what he is and always will be, unstoppable when he is on it, and a waste of a shirt when not. Getting the balance to be more positive and negative as he gets more experience makes him a real championship asset.

Yes, that's the 3 for me too.....although we have Forss and McGree to come in contention at some point and I have no idea at that point who the 3 is.
