NEIL WARNOCK

I reckon all 3 of them could be tempted, they will think they will have a chance of building something under Gibson. I think Lampard would love it here.
What and our fans are going to be patient enough with Lampard building something? Only one i would take right now is Wilder

I think Lampard could build and get results along the way. Really enjoyed watching his Derby side.
Look what happened to Sunderland when they started swapping and changing managers i think some people need to be careful what they wish for and what i can see is the players are still playing for the manager because the effort is there and if one of them 5 good chances went in we wouldn't be having this conversation

If we truly are a "mid table side" in terms of personnel then even more reason for him to go. Does anyone really think his brief this year was "mid table again please Neil"?

That's BS. I have no doubt he told Gibson he believed he could get us up (or give it a good go). I also doubt he'd have stayed on just to tread water for another year. What would anyone get out of it? He might have been talked into some signings, but there's no chance he's not had considerable input into the recruitment. Just as he had in January when we allowed him to bring in a raft of his own targets and our form subsequently fell off a cliff.

There's no chance he's getting anywhere near the best out of this squad. It might not be good enough for promotion (hard to say at this point), but it should be nowhere near the bottom half. Never mind the bottom three. Ridiculous excuse from the Warnock apologists.

I totally disagree so might aswell stop this conversation. I really don’t think it can get much worse on the football side so I don’t need to be careful

this guy on a previous thread claimed we play more attractive football under Warnock than Pulis, if this guy thinks that, then I'm out

Didn't Eddie turn down celtic job?
probably because it's a joke of a league. You either win the title or you are a joke of a manager. Then you try desperately not to get knocked out by a minnow in europe. That's the full scope of the job. He isn't going to get a prem job right now, he might be in the running with about 8 other people to come in and save a struggling prem side, but he's a builder not a saver.

His next job will be a championship club, that's almost certain

I agree the season is by no way over if we make the right change now but if we stick with Warnock the seasons done for me. Going no where
The season was never going to anywhere near the top six even if had replaced him with pep. The squad is paper thin and not good enough to maintain any promotion run. A new manger isn't going to change howson into a 22 year old bryan Robson and apart from howson we have no one there in midfield. Changing the manager is not going to transform this squad into playoff contenders theres not enough quality in the squad. If it was up to the fans we would be down the forest route of sacking managers and not addressing the elephant in the room which is recruitment.

It took us around 40 minutes to get going today — same old story poor passing and movement — you could argue that’s down to coaching. Second half Warnock should have changed it as Watmore and Crooks were both ineffective but instead we labored and when the chances don’t go in then it obviously deflates the team even further.

It might actually play to the strengths of the players we have and get some level of confidence and competence

Warnock signed most of the players 😂😂

If you think pulis football was better you clearly were not watching. It was far far more negative
I didn't say it was. They are both EQUALLY negative. The diffence was that Pulis got results and competency out of the players in a dull way

I agree with you there — this season is basically a write off as SG wants stability in the dressing room. Warnock will keep us up but things also have to improve.
