The idea of a transfer ban between Champions League teams, and selling the last 15 minutes of a match are two of the maddest things I've read in weeks. Also I don't quite see how a ban on players transferring between two 'Champions League' teams can be implemented? Surely it would be a restriction of trade anyway, at some point, from but a player's point of view - how are you going to buy someone for life? Do Inter buy Thiago from Liverpool... forever? How does he move clubs in future? If he runs his contract down there won't be a fee so I can't see how a club would vote for that. Or am I missing something with that?
As if Real Madrid are going to agree to never be able to sign a player from one of the other 32 CL clubs, ever again.
Hard to believe this kind of nonsense is spoken in public by someone with a senior position at one of the chequebook galactico clubs... I mean Juventus aren't exactly Ajax or RB Leipzig, they don't produce their own players. It's insane and so unworkable it's not even funny.
And selling the last 15 minutes... The only way this would work is if goals count double for that period or some ****. We've all watched a lot of football in our time and the last 15 minutes are usually one team cruising at 2-0 up, passing the ball between centre backs, while the other team think about their shower. Would anyone in their right mind tune in for only the last 15 minutes of a City match?!
