When they are talking football there are no fans on this planet as stupid or Partisan as Geordies on other matters they can be ok
Have one at work who started weeks ago "if we get to the final we will need 100k tickets"......from a club who were not filling their ground last year , its their deluded entitlement that sticks with people

The absolute vast majority of Geordies and mackems I know/have known have been sound. Geordies can be a bit funny as if you even marginally criticise the club the professional Geordies bite/get wound up very easily. Mackems generally are like us, just accepting they are never going to be the best and just get on with it moaning and groaning.

They could easily sell 100k tickets for a final, most of the top clubs likely would.
To be fair they have been almost at capacity for years now despite how poor the last 10 years have been for them

Just seen the disallowed Fulham penalty.
If you haven't seen it, essentially Mitrovic does a "Bolo Zenden" - he slips as he takes the penalty and the goal is disallowed for a double kick. Is that a fair decision? The rule/law is there to stop players tapping the ball forward and then blasting it into the net. He slips and kicks it against his standing foot, he doesn't do it to gain an advantage. I think we should remember that the penalty is awarded to punish a foul in this case a bad tackle right on the edge of the box but if a defender had (for example) punched the ball off the line in the last minute to prevent a goal...
