I think we will see a slightly higher class of footballer being attracted to the Saudi millions next season and Newcastle to kick on even further. A lot of top players want to and expect to play in the Champions League and they may look at Newcastle as a team that can offer this to them on a regular basis (or the Saudi money can). This is something that Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea can't offer. Liverpool will always be able to attract top players but I feel it will give Newcastle the edge over the other two teams.
I don't expect the Mags to set the CL alight and think that is another learning curve but could honestly see them challenging for domestic trophies and a successful team will attract further players.
Next season will be telling with them playing in Europe and competing on the domestic front but I do feel the money they have will allow them to handle that better than Spurs did.
Sunderland's present squad could still beat them though.
