Good shout TLJ. He was my pick for yesterday. Not sure about today, could be a break that gets it again but I've a bad feeling Pog might go for it - not that I have anything against the guy, just that I'd like the wins shared out. So it's Van Aert.
JV are in the old Movistar scenario now. One leader far enough down that they'll have to use him (Roglic) to attack. Then have Vingegaard to sit on Pogacar and counter. In theory.
Interstingly, Ineos are in a good position though, with Yates, Thomas and Pidcock all in good GC positions. Let's see if they've got the legs to attack Pogacar too.
Taking the Pidcock.
I think Ineos should be riding for Pidcock... or at least, on a day when he has good legs, get him to attack early on a mountain. His ability to ride repeated anaerobic efforts over an hour or so would make him an ideal play.
The problem we have, despite all the knowledge at our disposal, is we just don't know how the riders feel on the day (That's my excuse for less than stellar fantasy tour performances anyway )
As Pidders said, he didn't expect to be in any shape to contest the final yesterday after the effort in the first 30k.
Might as well give Pog the trophy now, let him sit out the rest of the race and allow the mere mortals to race for 2nd.

100%One thing that is daft and has been mentioned in commentary is the 'young rider' award.
Need to get a grip of this - if you have won it once you can't have it again and certainly, if you have won the bleedin tour you can't have the shirt.
