Yep, I agree to an extent, which is why I can’t put too much stock in an individual MPs voting record as a stick to beat them with, when clearly it’s not as black and white as just defying the whip every time.
Here it starts. She's kind to animals, blah, blah. People are always looking for an excuse to vote Tory. It's a national sickness. They've ruined this country - not only once - and a fragrant bit of bit skirt comes along and all's forgiven. Makes you pig sick.I agree with voting records, they are almost, but not wholly worthless. Given cabinet collective responsibility, whipping etc. I am very much against whipping, in my opinion it should be a free vote each time.
On the hear say bit, I am little closer than someone said to someone etc, I work with people who worked for her and now work for another minister, and various others in the years. She is by far the most well liked minister I know of by people who work in that private office.
Anyways I need to get a train to London so off for my tea first... UTB
Knows her way round a big sword….Here it starts. She's kind to animals, blah, blah. People are always looking for an excuse to vote Tory. It's a national sickness. They've ruined this country - not only once - and a fragrant bit of bit skirt comes along and all's forgiven. Makes you pig sick.
I didn't make stuff up about her personality.Thats political ideology, it what he believes in as a Tory.
Their are posts describing Mourdaunt as all sorts, deviant, desperate for attention, status, power with no insight whatsoever.
Nothing wrong with given some insight into somebody, as opposed to just making stuff about their personality
Surely this just makes it worse. She isn't saying anything that makes me think she's in any way fit for government never mind the top job.Another comment was she just says whatever she feels like, which I think that had her advisors rather worried what she might say.
I didn't make stuff up about her personality.
I said that's how she comes across. It is how she comes across.
And to echo Fabio porkpie it at this point it doesn't matter how nice she is to people she works with or how good her sense of humour is.
It doesn't make her a nice person. Unless she's so thick to be ignorant of the misery the government she has enthusiastically worked for (and continues to work for) has caused.
Definitely happening here after Jacinda and labour. Is it a worldwide lurch though? Or jsut Europe and north America? Could be a reaction to the balance of economic power swinging back East?
That largely depends on what you consider to be scum - and I can't really speak for Labour right now, but...It’s no different to tories believing all labour are scum (that’s a harsh word) etc because of their political beliefs.
It’s two teams and their supporters each side…the people batting for each side are still a person and believe or not might actually be a nice person.
I think you need to wake up smell the coffee fella.I wasn’t quoting yourself.. it was another poster who had said that.
I was giving insight into her from people who I work with, who hold her in high regard as the best minister they worked for. And there has been a few.
I wasn’t the only the poster to do so but seems jsut mine are being picked up.
I didn’t say anything about her politics, I actually said to Fabio that’s political ideology. It’s what some believe in, whatever your political persuasion. I think you can separate the two.
It’s no different to tories believing all labour are scum (that’s a harsh word) etc because of their political beliefs.

That goes for all MPs, they might genuinely be a nice person but you don’t agree with their political beliefs
Boris Johnson being an exception!Judging someone by how they treat friends and colleagues probably isn't the best measure of character. How they treat strangers is probably a much better barometer.
I expect most MPs are nice to their partner and kids.
Why then, if she’s such a decent human being does she stand by and watch the nhs get drained of funds and the madness of Rwanda and its policy alongside spending 600million on a scheme when people are desperately struggling.Since Cameron was re-elected we have had the following Leaders of the House of Commons
Chris Grayling
David Lidington
Andrea Leadsom
Mel Stride
Jacob Rees-Mogg
Mark Spencer
She is a light years better than all of those, except maybe Mel Stride.
I always think she looks extraordinarily pi55ed off. Probably because some little guy is sat in her seat.
