People that criticise tav I just don’t get it

Tav creates chances and goal scoring opportunities.. folks take that as a give and don't seem to hold any value in it. We as a team have been guilty of not taking chances in and around the box Tav is doing that. If he missed he should have passed, if he passes.. he should have taken the shot!

If he creates 2-3 chances a game we've got people saying categorically that he should be putting those away or taken off.

IMAGINE PUTING AWAY TWO OR THREE CHANCES AWAY EVERY MATCH - imagine saying that with a straight face too. we have a midfielder who should be scoring 2 or 3 goals a game or just not play him at all.
I don't think anyone is saying that really. The big frustration is that he's wasting chances when he could get a shot on target, or play someone else in. That freekick routine in the second half with McNair was awful - Tav rushing a shot that hurtled into row Z. I know you don't often score from positions like that, but I do know you never score when the ball ends up in row Z.

easier said than done isn't it, we often make more out of the negatives, the skyward free kick, the miss placed pass, the shot that flew wide.. are we getting into a situation where we are seeing the best outcomes as being the norm? it isn't the case and while I'm sure tav can keep on improving and that those chances will sooner or later come good (albeit not all of them) we need to show appreciation for a 22yo who has come on massively in recent years and proved himself to be invaluable last season.
