Prince of Pegging!

The Royal Family really are a car crash apart from Liz2 (or perhaps her proclivities have been better hidden). If it's not Dumb Prince Chuck wanting to be a feminine hygiene product the next in line wants to be "pegged" but the fragrant Kate won't play that game so he is apparently subcontracting to a local acquaintance.

Let's just abolish them when Queenie goes and grow up as a nation.

I'd absolutely abolish them, regardless of their sexual behaviour. I'm sure the queen isn't quite the sweet old lady many presume, simply because the telly tells them she is. She's known to be a bit racist and for meddling in our laws and no doubt she'll have some dark secrets, people in power can't help themselves once they realise they can buy their way out of trouble

Oh absolutely. Their sexual peccadillos are merely amusing and embarrassing. The "pegging" thing may or may not be true, I don't know or care over much. Their influence is pernicious and distorts the social fabric.

The real problem with this country is that we allow huge wealth to be retained over generations. The aristocracy is a poisonous canker on the rrse of this country. We enable them and think that because they speak in a certain way or have a title that we are beholden to them. Every thing (land, rights, assets) that they hoard was stolen from our forefathers by bullies and thugs.

Time to get rid.

I've never understood how any of this salacious business is ever truly in the public interest.

I hate it when the Sun does it to actors and footballers, when the Telegraph does it to Labour politicians, the Mirror to Conservative ones.

So it stands to reason that I should dislike this, and I do.

However, the royals have their dead hand clasped around the British media, so they're at least spared the worst of it. The royals won't be hounded by cameras and royal kids will be left alone at school. He'll not be subject to a trial by media where everyone has made their mind up already. That isn't fair.

But, that should be the situation for everyone, not just the royal family. I'd rather journalistic standards in this country meant that things weren't always a grim race to the bottom.

Good point.

It does, in this case, serve to puncture the special status that the Royal Family seems to enjoy. They are just human beings and they will have failings and preferences that when aired in public are at the very least embarrassing. And this just goes to show that they are not some national treasure they, like all of us, are simply flawed human beings. So perhaps the next time they are all on the balcony pointing at a fly-by of military hardware as you wave your tatty plastic made-in-China plastic Union Flag stop, just imagine Prince Willie on all fours...

I truly believe that it is actually in their best interests to abolish the monarchy. It isn't healthy to be born into a life of this sort. Constant observation and criticism, raised onto a platform that you are in some way better than the rest of of us. Yes there is the wealth and privilege but does that produce well rounded people. The evidence is that it does not.

Very true, then what happens when one of them want out from this prison they were born into?......the remaining ones circle the caravans and give the press some rifles and tell them to start shooting at him and his mixed race wife.

Despite all their privilage and opportunity they are much not particularly well rounded, I mean look at Prince Andrew, or Edward, they're not particularly even intellectual people. Their education attainments are quite pathetic. If born into a normal family, and behaving as they do, they would be failures in life, ostricised by society and poor.
