Priority points system

It isn't. But there are plenty of fans out there who actually put their money into the club and therefore should be rightly rewarded at being a little further up the pecking order.

If you can't see this, then that's your problem.
I can see it. As I said I'd like to see a small proportion of the tickets go on general sale every time. I'm not saying there should be no priority scheme.

You think money talks, if you aren't putting it in **** you. Fair enough. But enough of all the loyalty bull****.

I get where he's coming from though. People tend to hit a time in their lives when they can go to loads of away games. Probably disposable income, no kids etc. Is it really greater loyalty or just good timing?
I'm not proposing a better system though, becasue i don't think there is one.
I didn’t disagree with the concept and don’t fall out with what your saying. Kids, income, time etc.
It’s good that it rolls for 2 years and that’s fair. That way the most loyal supporters at that time are rewarded.

as posted above, if you also had a season ticket for 2 seasons then you would also have had a ticket even with no away games. If your the most loyal with a gold card then you had first dibs.

I think it’s about the fairest way

Boros travelling away fans that fill away ends around the country, being visible on tv games and generally making a right racket are a massive source of pride. Dam right they should have extra priority over season tickets holders that don't travel.

I say that as someone who has 148 points and isn't a frequent away traveller. I absolutely should miss out getting a ticket for a glamour game to someone who has schleped over to Cardiff for a 12:15 kick off on sky!

If that was the case then a season ticket holder that doesn't live on Teesside should get more points than someone that does.

For a board that is very left wing it seems to want to choose a very right-wing mindset of gate-keeping who can attend matches with the haves dictating to the have-nots that they don't deserve it as much as they do.
You say haves and have nots. It’s not like that. It’s giving those that go the most the option of buying first.

If it was a home tie then yes. It’s not. It’s away and those going away to Cardiff, Reading, Luton etc should have the option first - along with their season card points

Where do you stop with the 'loyalty' scheme 2 points for every £50 you spend in the club shop? (One way of climbing the points ladder to catch up with others)
The system is as good as you can get,
It's the individuals ticket they've got the right to let some else use it if they aren't

You're asking MFC to make a small proportion of tickets available to all fans (including those who don't attend home games), when there's fans out there who have travelled all over England and been to most games?

Have a word.

What you're saying is all season ticket holders should have the same opportunity of getting a ticket, that totally rules out any way of rewarding season ticket holders who go to away games. So the season ticket holder who fancies Man utd away and its the first away match attending has the same chances of a ticket as the season ticket holder who's been to say 10 away games.

Hardly fair is it?

Exactly this.

We have a priority scheme, it's called a season card and it used to give every ticket holder a fair and equal chance of an away ticket.

Away games are optional extras, unless there is an away season ticket you're not guaranteed tickets to any of them.

Putting money into other clubs coffers shouldn't come into it.

If you can afford £46 to go to United then you can afford £20 for Ewood on Monday. A potential promotion decider.
we haven’t sold 10000 for the latter and they rightly had first option to go to united
Blackburn away isn't a special occasion, just another league game.

So it's fair that Mr A who has attended all home games but 0 away games has the same chance of getting a ticket compared to Mr B who has been to all home and away games?

You think that's fair?

It’s like going to your local. If you go every weekend you get tickets for Boxing Day. If you go now and then you get a ticket for Boxing Day if there’s enough left

You think that's fair?

Yes because they'd have the exact same odds of getting a ticket.

Do you think it would be fair if we got promoted, and those who've only had a season ticket for a few years would have next to zero chance of getting an away ticket as they'll never be able to catch up to the points that those at the top have already accrued?
