Pretty regular thenOff the top of my head, probably the pyro display that welcomed the Sunderland team bus.

I didn't say it was regular.Pretty regular then
No idea tbhI didn't say it was regular.
The question still remains though. Why do it and alienate sections of our fan base?
RF do so much good work. Why tarnish their own reputation when there is such little to gain?
The club don't deserve the Red Faction. They tried to hound them out of existence when at the time they were keeping the atmosphere in the ground on life support.I really think the Red Faction are overrated, I’m sure the club won’t worry if they get the hump and disappear for a bit.
I don't think they have alienated very many of the fans? I think there were two reactions on Saturday, amusement and irritation. Some just thought it was a bit of fun and others (like myself) thought that is going to cause trouble. Why do it and alienate sections of our fan base?
I think most folks have taken them for granted. The flare does seem like a message to the club.. I think it does exactly that. They've given the Riverside such a good atmosphere in recent years and some of the displays in that video are really spacial. I think as fans we should be really appreciative.
However, I just don't get why they alienate themselves with stupid stuff like they did on Saturday. Surely it's better to have more people onside?
Also as a side note, why do they blur out their faces?

The issue has been created on the back of a 2-0 defeat and I guess the timing.. 15 minutes into the match.. everyone seems to have something to moan s out and someone to Biden after a defeat and this time round it was Red Faction.
If we win that game.. the flare is no longer an issue. If the banner display hits hard and touches fans the flare is not an issue.
Fair play to them.. 15 years against the odds and against resistance from the club. Yes they are still there and no they will not be silenced. They have done a lot for the club and should be thanked and appreciated.
Thanks RF08 you’ve done done really good stuff and improved the atmosphere and improved the fan experience as a whole. Also.. I really liked the flare.. it looked mega!
I mean rules are great and everything..They are a bunch of Stefan Kuntz if they do not work with the club and keep to rules. I hope the organisers develop……. a bad case of swine flu, because they are pigs.

The last display was a bit of a ‘Sporting Glory’ - awkward, missed the mark and we lost.. so it became utter tripe and a total head scratcher.I agree that most fans haven't been alienated. I'm against flares and pyro in the ground, but what's in the past is in the past. However RF could alienate a large section of the crowd if they persist with that sort of antisocial behavior. They need to understand that they're not speaking for the majority of the fans when they do that; they're ust indulging themselves.
As for messages, RF need to listen as well as being listened to. Their displays have been great over the years without resorting to pyro. Why do they feel the need to cross that line and resort to it now? If it's simple "we do what we want" posturing and trying to push the limit of what they can get away with, I don't blame the club if they respond with "you'll do it outside the ground then."
I really doubt the result has any impact on how people view the pyro incidentThe last display was a bit of a ‘Sporting Glory’ - awkward, missed the mark and we lost.. so it became utter tripe and a total head scratcher.
Self indulgent black and yellow display with a flare.. I guess it was poorly executed and setting of a flare after 15 minuites in a game we went on to lose 2-0
I don’t think it was a disgrace and I like what they do.. if we had won the game it would have been seen differently. It would face still been self absorbed and an opportunity missed to say something important or inspiring worthy of a tifo display from our very own ultras.
It defo makes a difference.. as does the timing and the context.I really doubt the result has any impact on how people view the pyro incident
Did they have the courtesy to discuss the Pyro event with the club? I assume not. Pyro’s are outlawed in stadia and are classed as a criminal act under the sporting events act 1985 aren’t they? They are not outlaws like Robin Hood.
