It's so damning of this country that Rees-Mogg is in the position he is. If England win on Sunday, I really hope they distance themselves from the ******* in Government. Please don't go to Downing Street and allow them to somehow claim credit.

I agree with the sentiment, but they'll go. It's pretty much the norm isn't it? Be too strong a statement not to and Southgate is very much about trying to unify.

Unfortunately a large number of idiots in this country are quite happy to support Johnson despite or even because of his character. The team would be slaughtered for being political and whatnot.

Would love to see it mind. I'm confident Southgate would remain dignified though and not get drawn into any attempts of banter etc Johnson might try to further appeal to the morons making up his fan base.
