Rod Liddle on Middlesbrough Question Time

Wonder if Teesport gets a mention or will the select questions focus on more "general" UK topics.

🙄🙄

although it is broadcast as a 'live' gig - it was actually recorded last night (wed)

hope someone was on to speak up for the Travelling community along the Tees river.

usually the media crews and guests stay over at Hurworth for a 'teesside' episode.
They don’t usually record it the day before, only an hour or so before (and broadcast live on iplayer). A lot can happen in 24h.

Liddle. For the SDP bizarrely rather than, say, Reform or Britain First.
He's been a member of the resurrected SDP for a few years. Social Democrats are distinct from Reform but they have a 'non aggression pact' for elections. The main obstacle the SDP have, imo is that people mistake them for the LibDems, and they lack the infrastructure to get their message across.

The SDP's more of a national socialist party, though a little light on the socialist bit.

'Family, Community, Nation' being their slogan.

The SDP manifesto has, iirc, 'Animals are sentient beings...'

I don't think that featured in Mein Kampf. They also support nationalisations, which probably won't happen under the next government.

Any idea why it was done last night?

Suppose I can stop checking my emails now in the hope I'd get a last minute call up.
