A definite 'no' for me.

The obvious injury record aside I don't think he's anywhere near as good as some make him out to be. The championship is the highest level he's played, at which hes only played 13 games. If he was cheap then maybe but I wouldn't be paying much to bring him here.

My Sunderland supporting mate says he is top class striker
but
as others have said he’s had injury after injury

Fair play to S’land last season getting to the Play Offs mainly without him.

He's basically a huge gamble. One excellent season in L1, looked good in Champs until (seriously) injured again. No guarantee he'll be the same player when (if?) he recovers. Too risky for me.
 
Too injury prone it seems, so glad we're not getting him.. despite his good performances, when fit..

Is a big gamble by Southampton, could make or break their promotion push..
 
In advanced talks, but we'd still be starting the season without a striker.

10 goals in 13 games last season despite injury.

Probably would end our interest in Archer.
 
Loch Ness Drogba if we get him fit and keep him fit he's best striker at this level and could be another golden boot for us.
