Doubt it. According to Sunderland fans there's been issues with his agent all year which is why he hasn't signed a new deal.

As a player, if he can stay fit, I'd love to have him here. However, I think the agent issues are the kind of thing Gibson likes to avoid.

Just for perspective, ok, may be alate bloomer aka Chuba, but he could just as easily regress to mean in the next 3 years, especially after a cruciate
 
Not for me, I would hope we can do better than Ross Stewart surely. Is he really the height of peoples hopes? What has happened to our fans, wheres your hope, dreams, ambition, people settling for Coulson after Giles, Stewart after Archer. FFS, we should be progressing not regressing, It is like Boro has been twinned with Salem.
 
Too much of a physical & financial risk - imho - as good as he can be when fit, after this latest injury he'd take time to get back near his best.. too much of a gamble for us..

Nothing against the fella just prefer him not to be signing for us..

Surely he’s being lined up by spurs to replace kane
 
People keep mentioning his injury problems, he seems to have had 1 long lay off. Then on the other hand were all hanging our hats on chuba whos apparently been injured since May. And fans desperate to sign Archer who has had knee problems and Ramsay who is never fit.
 
I hope we have more irons in the fire than Stewart. Local rival in the same league stretching it out til deadline day. Tees saying theres no rush as he isn’t fit yet. Then he signs a contract extension and we end up with Andy Carroll on a free
 
He would have been the perfect striker for us at this level he can do it all but after he got his two big injuries last year no clubs should have went near him, especially for the fee he went for.
