Lets not. His record of goals were against the poorer Championship teams, his only goals against better teams were penalties and he even missed that against us before tapping in the lucky rebound. He is more Rudy Gestede than Rudy fantasticLet's put a bid in if Archer is not coming back.
You're right ofcourse as, Some Guys Have All the Luck.Lets not. His record of goals were against the poorer Championship teams, his only goals against better teams were penalties and he even missed that against us before tapping in the lucky rebound.
Don't most players score more against the lesser teams?Lets not. His record of goals were against the poorer Championship teams, his only goals against better teams were penalties and he even missed that against us before tapping in the lucky rebound. He is more Rudy Gestede than Rudy fantastic
Good strikers score against all teams, i worry Stewart is a flat track bully.Don't most players score more against the lesser teams?
He only played against 12 teams in the Championship and scored against 9 of them. Bit harsh to call him a flat track bully from that small sample.Good strikers score against all teams, i worry Stewart is a flat track bully.
Isn’t that cricketing term ‘flat track bully’?Good strikers score against all teams, i worry Stewart is a flat track bully.
That's where it started but it is applied to any sport now.Isn’t that cricketing term ‘flat track bully’?
I said I worry he was one, that is a little different. He may or may not prove to be a top Championship goalscorer, his record in Scotland wasn’t particularly mind blowing at that standard. I don’t see him fitting in the style of play we have developed so far, a style I would prefer we stuck with. Injuries aside, he isn’t someone thats shouts out class to me like. He has proved he can score goals in this league, but so did Britt, Gestede, Fletcher. I didn’t think he was a stand out player in the Sunderland team when I have seen them on TV or when he played against us at their place, they had other players i’d have sooner had long before him. I think we can and should be seeking better. He only played against 12 teams in the Championship and scored against 9 of them. Bit harsh to call him a flat track bully from that small sample.

Look it up on the internet ya lazy beggarWho did Akpom score his goals against?
I had a quick glance. He liked playing against Sheff Utd. Scored against Luton, a pen against Burnley. Nothing against Coventry and Sunderland though.Look it up on the internet ya lazy beggar
If it helps though, he scored against a variety of top half clubs not just lower end ones, from memory, Preston, Watford, I think, definitely against promoted opposition in Luton and 3 against Sheff Utd and mustn’t forget the cup v an excellent Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion, not sure what your point is?
But do they? If you look at the profile of goals scored for strikers I bet hardly any are banging them in against significantly stronger teams. It stands to reason doesn't it? If your team isn't as strong as the opposition you're not going to be getting as many chancesGood strikers score against all teams, i worry Stewart is a flat track bully.
He was injured against Sunderland at home so didn’t play in that and only managed 45 mins v Coventry away in his 1st game after injury coming on at half time, Sunderland away he played a full 90 and the team were a mile off form in the 3 end of season games v Coventry and the squad injury hit.I had a quick glance. He liked playing against Sheff Utd. Scored against Luton, a pen against Burnley. Nothing against Coventry and Sunderland though.
He scored more goals against a top side while Wilder was in charge. Two at home to Sheff Utd.
