Ross Stewart

But do they? If you look at the profile of goals scored for strikers I bet hardly any are banging them in against significantly stronger teams. It stands to reason doesn't it? If your team isn't as strong as the opposition you're not going to be getting as many chances
But the ones that do come along you either score or miss, Stewart hasn’t proven enough on whether he can yet, Chuba as another posted queried me on has shown that he did.

The big elephant in the room he is not due back playing til the end of next month. We need someone in before that.

I checked this a couple of years ago when we discussed britt. The top 10 striker usually had a pretty even spread with maybe 40% against top half teams. Then you got the odd guy like Britt that scored almost all their goals against bottom 12 sides.

They would probably accept something in the region of 8-10M, so a deal is probably not far off being agreed. Good for both sides and the player too.

If he is sold, then Tom Cannon will be their target with the cash to spend.
Hopefully we can match Everton's evaluation, and he wants to come here....

Do Everton still want adams now they’ve signed Beto?

If so could be interesting.

Everton after Southampton striker Adams
Southampton after Sunderland striker Stewart
Sunderland after Everton striker Cannon

Hmmmm

If only we had kept Hoppe - we could have hijacked one of those links using Hoppe as bait
