Rumours are Britt has had 2 bids accepted

I wouldn't be too sad to see Britt leave, he's been nowhere near good or consistent enough probably since his first season.

We've tried playing two up top, he's still been fairly dog.

Get shot of his wage and see if we can get somebody else in.

To be fair that lad smith on Wednesday night looked more threatening than any of our strikers put together.

It's refreshing that Akpom was only 2.5mil. It's better than buying Britt / Braithwaite / Rudy / Fletcher.... To name a few in the champo.

Let's not forget pulis payed 2mil to loan Hugill🙄

I seriously doubt we will ever find a forward. When was the last good one we had? We've spunked millions (and wages).

I think we use the metric of, if a player scored against us last season that's good enough to sign him next season.

Just remembered, it was West Ham selling and then buying King, Bournemouth then buying Britt. This is what I heard at the beginning of January. Remains to be seen if it’s true......other rumours are available

edit: Haller to Ajax was the WHU sale

WHU signed Lingard , so may not want King now , but there will be other suitors .

No. Hostility just disappointment. Big difference. He's not the great and rarely appears to seem to put much effort in.

We sold our best one to accommodate the four or five you named above!

What are his strengths ?
Good point, he isn't quick, isn't lethal in front of goal, his movement is not bad I suppose but far fro top class. The majority of his goals, in fact, almost every goal he has scored at champo level have been against the teams outside the top 8. The thing is, any top championship defender is able to nullify him not just in scoring, but also in having any impact on the game. They can read his decent movement and nullify him, they don't switch off and make mistakes for him to exploit.

Do we know for a fact how much Britt is on a week? Lots of figures bandied about but is it actually known what keeping him at the club till his contract expires will cost us?
If we sign a replacement I can see us letting Britt go with no fee if someone picks up his wages between now and the end of his contract. The sad thing is there are not many of the type of clubs Britt will attract who can pick up all of his salary for the next six months - hence my question about his actual salary. The deal for Diédhiou would have to see us paying a fee and signing Diédhiou on a permanent basis (500k) which would help Bristol City pay Britt’s wages I suppose.
