Shock horror, absentee (to the people of Redcar & Cleveland, at least) MP Jacob Young voted to pass the horrendous Rwanda bill:

We shouldn't be that surprised however, his track record for voting on human rights issues isn't that great either.

Ah, sorry. I said "isn't that great" when what I actually meant was "is F***ing abhorrent."

P.S Stilts voted yes too, but that's to be expected, the F***ing weasel.
 
Firstly and most Importantly a vote for the Rwanda Bill is a vote to remove all our human rights.

They are meant to be universal and the moment a government chooses to remove them for one section of society human rights are no longer rights but priveleges that the government can remove on a whim.

Secondly the smoking ban based on D.O.B. Is silly in the extreme. This becomes rights not based on age but when you were born.
 
It's no surprise to see the Tories voting this through. It's top level incompetence with a big hint of nastiness.

It's literally their gameplan.

I agree. They started off sneaky but I think as they have got worse and worse they've had to rely on an ever decreasing standard of MPs as anyone with any intelligence has stepped back.
And they are left with the Gullis and Dowdens of the world. They are down to the dregs.

Scraping the barrel - actually removing bottom of barrel, digging down 100ft and finding Tory MPs with absolutely zero intelligence, understanding, empathy or compassion. Just good at reading out the party line. And getting rich obvs.

What an absolute state British politics has dragged itself down to ☹️
 
The thing with that appearance on QT is that I probably know what has happened there.

There is currently an advisory notice for Rwanda (not officially from us but from other countries) that involves the border area and he has probably been told about that, but he hasn't actually taken proper notice of what that means.

That last line hits hard. Because they have dragged everyone else down with them. There's no point in labour campaigning with anything other than sniping attacks and "but Tory this" because that's what the Tories will do. It's a sad state of affairs
