I'd imagine a promoted team would take him in a heartbeat, a few of them play wing backs as well.
If not then I don't think it's crazy to think he'd be back here.
We should sign a specialist set piece coachFor the life of me, I can't understand why we didn't try a single short corner or set piece routine across the two legs of the playoff when that's exactly what broke them down on the last day of the season.
Our aerial presence without Crooks in the team is nil. We actually (unusually) whipped a few decent balls in the box from corners last night but we're too easily defended.
I was going to say exactly that. The way Tom Lockyer attacked that header for Luton's second goal on Tuesday. I was left thinking "why do we never have someone who can do that"!Agree, not necessarily down to height, but down to aggression and desire to get your head on to it.
The Luton CB is an example of it.
And lutons corner takerWe should sign a specialist set piece coach
Ugh, that makes my heart sink. He’ll be off to Sheffield United
Oooh didn’t realise manning was on a free, yes good player, bigger sides may be interested thoughThere will be two very good left wing backs available this summer in Giles and Ryan Manning, the difference being Manning is available on a free contract.
£15m?!?!?! Gunna have to clean up these corn flakes I just spat out. Thanks for thatRegardless of a dip in form, I would love him back, but unfortunately I don't think he will be loaned out again, and we wont be in a position to stump up the transfer fee (maybe 10-15 mill?).
A real shame, defensively he can be found out at times (but that can be worked on) what cant be coached is what he offered going forward, and the quality he naturally has in his delivery.
I think lower prem or potentially a promoted team will end up snapping him up this summer. Best of luck to the lad if they do.
No problem.£15m?!?!?! Gunna have to clean up these corn flakes I just spat out. Thanks for that
transfermarkt values him at just over £6m. Not saying they're always right but certainly a lot closer to what the true fee would be I imagineNo problem.
To be fair I did go on to say I have no idea how valuations for players are made nowadays - so its a complete guess, probably why I also included 10m and lots of question marks.
Bit late for cornflakes
At 6 mill i hope we would be interested - obviously budget depending!transfermarkt values him at just over £6m. Not saying they're always right but certainly a lot closer to what the true fee would be I imagine
Would be very surprised if we shelled out £6m+ on a wing backAt 6 mill i hope we would be interested - obviously budget depending!
Without knowing the budget I'm not sure either but, it will also depend on number of loans vs actual transfer fees we intend to spend this summer.Would be very surprised if we shelled out £6m+ on a wing back
15m don't be mad. Wolves would do well to get half that. If a relegated team were interested thy could probably max out his value at around 8 with add ons. But if not then the sides that would be interested would be looking for about 5m with add ons.Regardless of a dip in form, I would love him back, but unfortunately I don't think he will be loaned out again, and we wont be in a position to stump up the transfer fee (maybe 10-15 mill?).
Nah, wrong mate, its 6 million.15m don't be mad. Wolves would do well to get half that. If a relegated team were interested thy could probably max out his value at around 8 with add ons. But if not then the sides that would be interested would be looking for about 5m with add ons.
