That's from 3 weeks ago
and have Starmer or Labour come out since and offered a revised statement on their position that schools must stay open “no ifs or buts”?
Why don't you put the same energy into questioning the governments actions?
As mentioned Labour are not privy to the latest scientific advice and to go out on a limb without that advice is politically stupid.
Yet any opportunity to attack Starmer no matter the subject and your on it. Its tedious.
Pog I am not interested in derailing the thread further. Try the starmer resigning thread.
That's probably right, or, and I am only guessing at my motive here and I'm sure you'll put me right if I get this wrong, I can't be bothered arguing with you when it's all been said before. On top of which starmers competence or lack of isn't what the threads about. It’s so transparent how you just can’t defend his leadership (or lack of). You’re reduced to “you don’t like him” or “I’m not interested in this anymore”.
It’s Brexiteer levels of cultism.

Have you read my last couple of posts pog I am not interested in discussing this with you. You have an opinion I am well aware of, I don't agree with it. We won't convince each other so what's the point.. That's rhetoric BTW.The Labour leader and Labour Party are supposed to represent working people and unions.
They aren’t.
This does involve them, there’s a total absence of leadership.
I agree but the notion that every kid owns a smart phone is very wide of the realityKeep them shut. Surely it’s a no brainer where the evidence suggests that’s where it’s spreading. Madness to send them back to school when people have been mixing over Xmas.
Johnson talking today of tougher restrictions and Ofsted saying you can’t furlough kids futures or put them on hold which is insulting.
A kid missing out on a few more weeks of school will have less impact on their life than them burying their parent or their parents losing the ability to provide for them because they’ve lost their jobs. It’s not as if there isn’t an alternative, every kid these days owns a smart phone.

This can only end one way now with closure of all schools, a decision that should have been made last week. Many up and down the country are taking the same stance as Captain Cook’s and I’ll be surprised if the schools remain open for the rest of this week.Captain Cook Primary school in Marton, have decided to stay closed for a further 2 weeks after talks with unions, the first of many you would think.
Most primary schools are open in Middlesbrough, and everywhere else. it’s only individual schools that are taking a stand. My daughters school confirmed as open for all classes. Redcar and Cleveland as opposed to Middlesbrough though.

I don’t know if schools are safe or not, but if primary schools aren’t safe in London how are they safe everywhere else?
