Sean Dyche

Expect that for a footballer to get as far as he did, his parents would have had to sacrifice an awful to to help him, so why is it wrong that he took them with him? Clearly they are a huge part of his career
Possibly sharing in his 'success' being part of that . Dad probably took misses along to see the delights of Burnley after the signing! Dyche comments are more to do with his failings in turning Bamford into the player he wanted rather than Bamford being the person he is. A very fine line between success and failure for the pro footballer and add in a personality clash.....it can happen in any workplace.

Some can't except Bamford has/was moved on and is proving to be a success. Our current team miss his movement and scoring ability, but can't turn the clock back. No problem with Dyche, says what he thinks and has kept Burnley playing P.L level that we want to be part of.

I don't have a foot in the Dyche hating camp, I don't care either way. But one observation I have is that when he buys defenders, he never plays them. He seems to stick with Mee and Tarkowski always, even when they aren't playing well. If they leave or retire, I honestly don't know what his game plan is after that. He has a core group of players he trusts and seems to play them week in, week out. Maybe he's already planned to leave when they do so as not to be shown as a one trick pony? Just an observation on my part, in no way do I claim this is factual.

I've got to say I was surprised when they came in for Gibson. I don't think Ben had been playing his best football for us. But when you have Premiership money you can become like a kid in a sweet swop.

Ye the Gibson is fairly straight forward. He was getting his chance in Europe, then got injured and it didn’t happen for him after that. It happens.

I also tend to agree that when he wasn’t in karanka’s system he didn’t look as good. I thought we did well to get 15m

Interesting take on the situation - like reputation damage limitation for Dyche?

I think Dyche always comes across like he’s got a huge inferiority complex, wouldn’t surprise me if Bamford was also made an outcast due to his Boro connection, see also Gibson. We live in his head rent free because of the FA cup semi in 1997. Makes you wonder why he signed them, unless it’s not him making the decisions.
My thoughts exactly, he has never got over that semi-final.

Exactly, it amazes me how people can hate & to say they're p*****s, a#@#@*?"s, etc to someone they've never met based on something he said about the Boro, or had some of our players there

A lot of petulance going on here, wonder how Cloughy never got such treatment when he ridicules Dave Currie infront of the rest of the dressing room, Justin Fashany. & the striker from Coventry, whose name escapes me

He's played at a veru good level & as well as been a top, top PL manager
Mind you some posters were saying the same about NW before he came here
Think the Coventry striker was Ian Wallace, Erimus.

Dyche is clearly jealous of Bamford's hair, as he's largely bald with a bit of residual ginger.

Pulis used to bring up Bamford’s “privileged background” regularly and unnecessarily in press conferences. Always thought that was bizarre and got the impression he held it against him.

That’s all it is though isn’t it? Loads of people have this opinion of him based on little to no evidence. He’s done far more as a manager than he ever did as a player. To suggest he’d go to extreme lengths to sabotage our club and players who were in school when it happened for revenge is ridiculous.

Totally agree, absolute crazy, I don't buy in to that at all, I can understand him looking back over his career & convinced he was wronged out of playing in an FAC final & TBH who can blame him, but to think he he holds a grudge over us to the point of buying our better players to then punish them & the club & not use em because of his dislike of the Boro crazy, noway at all
