Season card renewal deadline 3 pm today

It's 11% down on last year's early bird.

We sold 19,000 last season in the early bird window.
From MFC a year ago..
Our next campaign promises to be just as exciting, and our Season Card sales tally looks set to reach 18,000 in this final day, an increase of almost 3,000 from the Early Bird sales period last season.

If the club do the business with good signings in the summer people will suddenly find the money for a season ticket again - maybe the club are gambling on this, knowing there would be some kind of drop off now with the price increase

I mean, okay, but that sounds really not joined up and what would make people sign up at a higher cost?

I know someone who is a 'new' season ticket buyer. He's moved back up to Teesside from living away and it makes sense for him.

Honestly if I was working in the ticket office in May or June and someone came in to buy a new season ticket, I'd be looking out for hidden cameras and Jeremy Beadle.

And hidden cameras are dead.

We're about 5% down on last years early bird not 20%
Yes, but on the back of a crackin season with exciting football and optimism at a real high.
That's not the current scenario as things stand and it is very hard to imagine us selling 3,000+ over the summer.

I don't believe the fall in sales is anything like as bad as we all feaed
There shouldn't be a fall in sales for a product that costs more for new buyers.

Rob - why don't you charge extra for new fanzine buyers v existing ones, bearing in mind you've already printed them so you know your costs?

It isn’t but it kind of negates the price rise, whilst alienating some of the fan base - unless the club are going to make some exciting signings this summer we aren’t going to have as many season ticket holders as this season that’s for sure
Am pleased that the new payment plan has been a success and also that the club have announced the results so quickly.
Obviously we all wish there had been a price freeze but am sure we are all relieved numbers have not dropped off a cliff.

I also thought it was a strange decision not to sell half season tickets at Christmas.
Sunderland sold 3k and they could go on to buy season tickets for the following season.
Short sighted again by MFC:
I feel Half season tickets be back next season if we doing well they will sell

It isn't but the club would of sold another 1-2k if they didn't have the PR disaster they did why did they get themselves in this position is the question. What revenue advice have they used to do what they did

I might have to charge more next season because of the rising cost of postage. Sad to say.

With season ticket sales down do you think MFC with reduced the walk up prices ?or is this just wishful thinking.
