I think they either come back with a bid too good to turn down or he stays.

I can't see us compromising much, particularly in January this close to the window closing.

Also why is the assumption from some that if we did get £10 million + for him we'd immediately go and spend most of it on a striker? That would almost certainly not happen.

And who's to say we need to sell to bring in a striker anyway?

I'm with you, would rather keep him.
 
If we sell, then much (most?)of the money will go into balancing the books. Maybe we get someone else in, but at nowhere near the fees received. When our two Aussies plus Forss are back, would we even need a replacement?

Gotta concur festa. He won't go unless our valuation is met. Reportedly 15m. It's more likely to be a bit below that, you would think.

We don't need to sell for financial reasons or to appease Rogers. The supposition that he would sulk, is just that and at odds to what he actually said.

We'll see in the next 9 days

This, I have a feeling it will be sorted later this week after tonight’s game.
 
Unless they come up with what we want or very close to it with the majority of it guaranteed, then we should keep him till the summer at least and see if he can help fire us into the play-offs. His value is unlikely to go down, so will only really lose if he starts sulking which I doubt.
 
I suspect that if any bid is accepted, it will include a loan back for the rest of the season. Particularly if there's a league cup final to play in 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I don’t want to see him back if he’s gone he’s gone why would we inflate another teams player we won’t be signing.

Get him gone get a new player in
