Although, as I said on another thread, the fact she was so nailed on is a bit of a representation of the sort of year the UK has had in sport. And the way she's AS famous for 'swearing' as she is for her performances is a bit sad in my opinion. No idea why women swearing is such a big deal, and a positive one at that.

Dettori and Broad were 'swansong' nominations, I'd have opposed both, personally.

Before these 3 women, there were 13 consecutive male winners (and most of them cyclists and athletes ).

Yeah we did this on the other thread. If he's eligible, why not Haaland etc. Something in the rules about 'conducting the majority of your sporting activity in then UK'. Load of boll0x in my opinion though.

Footballers will ALWAYS have an edge over every other sport. It's just way more popular.

Mind you, we have had a tennis player win it in this run of Female winners. Hmm

Still I find it strange that people seem upset that it's a woman winning SPOTY. Is this the eighties?
