Sporar and connolly ...will not pair up again

While I expect them both to get chances i wonder if he is preferring AC initially as there may be a chance to make it permanent un the summer so there is more incentive to give him time.
 
connolly is garbage. he is probably the worst striker i've seen play for us since our early champo seasons under GS's. horribly limited player, i's rather have mcdonald upfront for us. remember him, the striker who couldnt shoot lol

I don't rate him either. Though I hope he goes on to prove me wrong, I honestly don't feel he will prove to be a good move for us.

He'll go and score now I've said that, obviously.

I remember McDonald averaging 1 in 3, not bad for that period.
 
sporor is weak as pss,dont get the love in with him to be honest,hes decent yes,but thats it.,think connelly may come good,we will see
 
He was very poor. Seemed to lose all the 50-50s and just really lightweight and wasteful with the ball.

Mind, we played far too many long balls in the first half for my liking. Of course Connolly's not going to win the headers.
 
The constant periods of heading the ball in the air will hopefully stop . Balogun coming in effectively gave us the 3 pts , hopefully he starts against manu and the manager sees enough to maintain his position after that . Looks like sporar will be starting every game if he’s scoring 1in 5 ish
 
I don't see any good reason to persist with Connolly, just not good enough. Balogun came on and made the difference. Watmore and Sporar would be my go to, with Balogun next up followed by Josh.

Connolly couldn't get off the pitch quick enough when subbed.

Not our player, not fit, nothing better than what we have. He came he failed I doubt we'll feature on his body art.
 
I really cant see the reasoning for starting connolly when he doesn't look anywhere near sharp. If watmore is struggling with fitness i would have balogun and even coburn ahead of connolly. If wilder persits with starting connolly its going to cost us points at some point.

Genuinely can’t tell if this is sarcasm. MacDonald scored pretty regularly for us. Connolly is shocking, still don’t believe we’ll see worse than Akpom in a boro shirt.
 
Actually I'd forgotten about Akpom -- kind of brings a chuckle to my mind on the thought of how many bad choices/decisions we've made in the striker department... and now we're ready to offload dear Mr. Ikpeazu for AC [seemingly], not to mention how we discarded a certain Patrick Bamford. If we had to have a vote now on whether or not to keep Uche, I'm pretty sure amongst the fans he'd have at least 75 percent support-- I'm not too sure if the same can be said for the likes of Akpom or relative newcomer AC.
 
A bit of pace, ability to press etc. Ikpeazu has none of those things, he just doesn’t fit the Wilder system.
It’s pretty safe to assume when you sign people who haven’t played regularly they’ll take a bit of time to sharpen up.
