Sunak's Wife Has Non Dom Status

You clearly don't get it.

A Minister's spouse is bound by the same rules as the Minister themselves.

Until you acknowledge this it's pointless having a discussion with you.
He does get to sadly. He has to do everything possible to deflect from the issue he knows exists though.
I just think it’s really poor form that he’s using fake cries of misogyny to do it. I know Tories must now debase themselves with sick comments in their desperate attempts to defend this corrupt government but I felt this attempt was particularly poor

It turns out it's far worse for him that he thought. Daily Mail even reporting it's saved them £300m. Let that sink in, think of the good that could've done? For all those defending the Tories and the elite, these are the very people who are hoarding your money stopping us creating a much better fairer society where schools, life chances and opportunities are based on hard work and support rather than luck and how much money you have.

Mrs. Sunak's US green card requires a declaration of intent to make the US her permanent home. Her non-dom status seems to rely on the intent to make India her eventual permanent home. To my untrained eye, these declarations appear inconsistent. More pertinently, is this criminal?

How nice to be in a position that someone can ask their partner to take a income hit of £millions so they can keep a job worth a fraction of that.
Well it does beg the question why is it worth it?

I'm not remotely buying that he loves serving his country so much it's worth £millions to him.

So I reckon it's either bored billionaire wants his place in the history books as PM (similar to Boris's motivation).

Or the £millions they're giving up are only a fraction to the money they'll probably save/rake in as long he's in a position to maintain and set policies that favour the super rich.

Probably a bit of both.

One would assume that it's a problem for one or both of the US and India.

But that's the rich for you - they think they're invincible. I once heard that it's the same feeling you have in your twenties where you think you're going to live forever and nothing will ever slow you down - but you never grow out of it.

The most important thing is clearly to find out who leaked their crooked shenanigans to the media...

After everything, he still really hasn't got it has he. His witch hunt is only going to make look even more out of touch. Not sure what he will do when it turns out to be N10 or The Govester.

Well, well, well.....now it gets interesting. Just read this on social media and then fact checked it, and the bare facts are indeed correct ...

"So... it now comes to light that Rishi Sunak's wife was part owner of Lava Mayfair Club Ltd (a private membership gym), which collapsed last year owing almost £44million to creditors, including £374,000 to HMRC!

Another of Mrs Sunak's ventures... Mrs Wordsmith (an education business) went into administration last year owing £16.3million – after receiving a £1.3million loan from the Government's "Future Fund"!

OH IT GETS WORSE... Digme Fitness (which she owns 100% of) received up to £635,000 of furlough money... before it then closed its eight studios in London and Oxford... still owing HMRC £415,000!

So .... Mr Sunak introduces the furlough scheme ... and she benefits by up to £635,000!

Mr Sunak oversees the rules regarding Non-Dom status ... and she benefits by over £20 million!

Mr Sunak is in charge of ensuring that the UK maximises its tax revenue... yet she has been active in, or has owned, companies going bust owing a staggering £789,000 to HMRC!

Mr Sunak says his wife's tax affairs are none of OUR business... he can **** RIGHT off!!

Arrogance in almost immeasurable amounts!"

The excessive exclamation marks and capitals aren't mine, but it does make for interesting reading, n'est-ce pas?

On a tangent The Times gave the name of the village he lives in yesterday and described the property as having a lake. There’s only one property in the village and it has a lake, so they essentially published his address. That’s poor form, but I suppose he’ll never return to North York’s once he’s walked away from the constituency.

Good. We don't people accidentally protesting outside all the other mansions with lakes, tennis courts and swimming pools. But does it have a pet spa? We need to know.

Is the village the pacific palisades? I don't see the issue with publishing one address: You've still only got a one in 11 chance of being at the right house!

It's no secret where he lives. Just ask a local (or as Rishi calls them, peasants)
