Sunderland Away Ticket Info

The easier solution would surely be to just not house the away fans above home fans.

It's not like they're short of space.

I assume there's a logical reason why they're there in the first place?
I think Ellis short went to a derby at Sid James park and was ***ed off at away fans being so far away so he changed the stadium of *****

Absolutely nailed. Nonsense to suggest anything else.

Can't/won't go to all away games but want the same priority as those that do for high demand, big games. Zero sense.
WWE are in London later this year.

Bet all those who were in Cardiff a few months back can’t wait for their priority window to this one as a thank you from the company for attending a previous event.

The old system wasn’t as fair as it is now, I understand people will be disappointed to miss out but that’s a part of life.
I don’t understand how every season ticket holder having an equal chance regardless of income or age was unfair?

People only think it’s “fair” when it’s weighted in their favour.

They could just bring the old red book / white book system back.

Priority 1 - Red card holders (tickets over 2 seasons)

Priority 2 - White card holders (tickets under 2 seasons)

Priority 3 - Boro pride card holders (ideal for those who can’t afford a season ticket or live / work away)

Priority 4 - General sale

A points system is the fairest way, if I miss out on a ticket I will be disappointed but understand why.

If it’s a free for all like you want and I queue for 6 hours and still miss out I’d be very angry.

Why should someone miss out when they go to most away games? If you want a ticket then go to more games it’s really that simple.

Or even give an additional point for length of service, that way the younger patrons will still pick up points away but also length of service would be recognised.

The system we have works, prior to its introduction there would be several matches where a big fuss about allocations would happen, now it's just this one. It's how most other clubs operate their away allocations because it is the most sensible one.

If you have enough money in a cost of living crisis to have a season ticket and attend 30+ away games in 18 months, you have a high disposable income.
So say it's £30 per ticket and £30 on average travel for each away game (I'm being generous because a lot of tickets are much cheaper than £30 and some games don't cost £30 to get to...but lets say that anyways). And I've never ever paid more than £25 for travel to an away game when going by minibus.

In 18 months, for 30 away games, that equates to roughly £1,800...plus a season ticket which is roughly £450 (in this case as you'd think a supporter doing 30 away games over 18 months you would think they would be on the early bird pricing).

So that's £2,250 over 18 months.

Someone with disposable income of £125 per month has high disposable income to you?

Think you need to wake up mate.

Not when you live 50 miles from the Riverside.
I'm pretty confident when I say that most of our fans, who travel to a lot of away games, will live within 25 miles of MFC (I don't know for definite, so I'm guessing).

That's not to say there aren't fans that don't live within 25 miles of MFC who attend a lot of away games, just the majority will....which is why I used the example I did.

And to be honest, even if I doubled the costs of travel to £60 per away game?

That would equate to roughly £175 costs per month over 18 months for attending 30 away games as well as having a season ticket....for someone to suggest £175 per month is 'high disposable income' is bordering on laughable.

It also uses false maths to come to that conclusion. Price of a season ticket plus 23 away games over a 12 month period. For a start.

Then it’s not as simple as saying that’s all your disposable income. That’s just what you can assign for football. Without thinking about any other hobbies or interests. Or if you have kids and would like to take them to games or any other variables.

Or your circumstances as to whether travelling on the official coaches suit you. It’s just a too simplistic calculation.

And misses out one of the biggest factors of all. Time. You’re just trying to prove a point without actually considering real life factors.

It’s like when the government say you are only paying this for x because they are only looking at certain circumstances when the reality for most people is a lot different. Or car manufactures saying their mpg in ideal conditions. It’s not real life calculations.

£60 is a bit more realistic as an average (even with a third off).
Trains are bleedin expensive !
As an aside I'm not sure I would travel with MFC even if I was local. Very restrictive, forced straight in and out of the ground.
We like to enjoy fine dining in the local weatherspoons pre match.

The club’s communication on this has been non-existent.

Nothing on the poor allocation, they’ve ignored everyone on Twitter asking for a breakdown of how many is in each points catergory, ignored any questions in relation to points.

Poor all round.

You’ll need to have bought from them before
Several lads I know have already got there’s, joys of working in Nissan and working with plenty of Mackems.

I should be ok so thankfully won’t have to go to those lengths, but SAFC, MFC and Northumbria police have made the situation worse by agreeing to this pathetic allocation.

It’s pretty straight forward though, I’m not sure what people want them to say? They’ve communicated that we have 1955 tickets and 220 points is the minimum for first choice on the tickets. They have also provided timings when other points brackets can purchase them.

I very much doubt MFC agreed to it.

It's quite obvious what they want people to say.

"We currently have X fans with 220+ points, Y fans with 200+ points and Z fans with 180+ points."

Other clubs do this, as well as the England national team so they aren't asking for something out of the ordinary.
