Swing of 16.4% from Tories to Labour in Kingswood

In Wellingborough, I feel it was pure arrogance from the Conservative Party to pick Helen Harrison (Peter Bones's partner) as their candidate.
No no…they exist in their own little microcosm and don’t have any real awareness of how they look doing something like that (picking her) and how incredibly unpopular they are generally and something like that would make it even worse

I'm sure in your magical world of Tory make believe, the other 7 out 10 are stay at home Tories just waiting for a General Election.

Also all Reform votes are actually Tory votes too. So technically a Tory win with a huge majority.

Nooooo
Just humour him, he’s odious at best

I like these little trolls. Sitting there in their mam's spare room trying to stir things up......bless them. Sad really, but let them have their fun. Humour them.

My twopenneth with Saville. He was protected by people very, very high up in the establishment that's why he got away with things for so long. Were these people complicit Epstein like? Who knows.

Starmer may well have been aware of Saville, but was he told "don't worry, nothing to look at, he's just a daft eccentric. Tssssk". 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

But ths Tory /Johnson slur that he was somehow at fault for Saville.....it's up there with Corbyn being a Czech spy. Sadly this sh*t sticks with the thick as sh*t British public, lapping it up.

Expect more stuff like his leading up to the election. Full Bannon/USA like. Not going to be pretty.......just hope Labour strike back, nothing libellous though. Plenty of material to work with......

Haven’t Labour made the same mistake in R&C by picking Anna Turley. A seat Labour would’ve probably won back easily until putting forward the unpopular Turley.

You're probably right, but it will all depend on the strength of the "protest" vote against Young/the Tories.

May well get her elected, but should really be a huge Labour victory not just by a small margin.

Not sure that's the same mistake.

Peter Bone was suspended for sexual harassment and threatened to run as an independent if the local Conservatives didn't pick his partner as the candidate.

Anna Turley backed a second referendum and people didn't like it.

You'd hope that people would be able to see the difference between the two.

Sorry I didn’t mean my post to be looked at in that way. I was looking at the arrogance part by picking Turley knowing how many view her.

Turley always come across as trying to help people on low incomes, which should be what a Labour MP shpoul dbe doing.

BREXIT/EU issue was really toxic in areas like the Redcar ward because people were angry when they voted in 2016 and even more angry if it was not followed through. Its a different ball game now.
