No no…they exist in their own little microcosm and don’t have any real awareness of how they look doing something like that (picking her) and how incredibly unpopular they are generally and something like that would make it even worseIn Wellingborough, I feel it was pure arrogance from the Conservative Party to pick Helen Harrison (Peter Bones's partner) as their candidate.
I'm sure in your magical world of Tory make believe, the other 7 out 10 are stay at home Tories just waiting for a General Election.
Also all Reform votes are actually Tory votes too. So technically a Tory win with a huge majority.

You're probably right, but it will all depend on the strength of the "protest" vote against Young/the Tories.Haven’t Labour made the same mistake in R&C by picking Anna Turley. A seat Labour would’ve probably won back easily until putting forward the unpopular Turley.

Not sure that's the same mistake.
Peter Bone was suspended for sexual harassment and threatened to run as an independent if the local Conservatives didn't pick his partner as the candidate.
Anna Turley backed a second referendum and people didn't like it.

That’s a fair assessment, but the right wing red top and tv media and the usual talking heads have made that the only discussion point for BlairDid a lot of good Blair, had a good 10 ish years....but Iraq will forever be a stain on what was a pretty good tenure.
But he was the head of the DPP , I cannot believe that a high profile case such as Saville simply passed him by
